CSI: Vegas Season 3 is happening, but we’re still waiting for it. It isn’t on the list of November releases, but will we get it soon?
Eyes are on when our favorite shows will return. It’s been a very odd fall with so little in the world of scripted content on our screens. One of the shows we’ve certainly missed is CSI: Vegas.
The CSI revival is one of those that we didn’t realize that we needed until we got it. Now we’re ready for more as we get to know the newer characters better and look out for more returning faces on the series. The bad news is that CSI: Vegas Season 3 is not heading to CBS just yet.
We didn’t expect it in November 2023, and that was without the strike action. This wasn’t a show we were expecting to return in 2023 at all.
When will CSI: Vegas Season 3 premiere on CBS?
During the May Upfronts, CBS made a surprise decision about the CSI revival. It wouldn’t return in the fall. This was a show held for midseason.
That was maybe a good thing for the series as we look at the strike action that happened. First the writers went on strike, and then the actors followed. While the WGA strike has ended, the SAG-AFTRA strike is still going on, and it’s pushing all shows back.
Writing work can start on CSI: Vegas Season 3, but production can’t. What does this mean for the return of the show? It’s hard to put a date on it. Usually, we would say the show would return in January or February as a midseason series, but we could be looking at late spring or even early summer. CBS could decide that this is a show that could work in the summer schedule as it tries to get through so much in a shorter TV season.
CSI: Vegas is available to stream on Paramount+.
