Accused Season 2 is officially happening, but when will we get to watch it? Is this a series that will be held for the summer or even for fall 2024?
With the end of the SAG-AFTRA strikes, productions can start back up. One that wasn’t on the list of productions starting up soon was Accused Season 2. It’s led to a lot of questions about when we can expect this series.
Of course, it could have been an oversight. It’s also possible that the series and the studio hasn’t decided on when production will start up. FOX hasn’t yet announced plans for the early 2024 schedule, except to say that 911 Lone Star Season 5 will be delayed until the fall.
When could Accused Season 2 come to FOX?
The first season was announced back in May 2021, but we didn’t get to watch it until January 2023. This was a series immediately held for the following TV season. It is possible that the second season is going to be held back. After all, holding the season back didn’t seem to do it too much harm the first time.
It is possible that Accused Season 2 will be held back until fall 2024. This helps to get things back in order after the dual strikes caused so much disruption to the TV schedules. It’s also possible that it will be held to the spring or summer to bring some content later in the current TV schedule as there isn’t enough time for everything to air.
Holding for the fall could be a good move if the series doesn’t want to give up some of the episode count. The first season had 15 episodes, and most shows this year are going to have 10 to 13 episodes. The benefit of Accused is that it’s an anthology series so the reduced episode count doesn’t affect the overall storyline, but it would be disappointing to lose some of the individual stories.
Accused is available to stream on Hulu.
