As with the other two FBI shows, FBI: International Season 3 is ready for a February return. Here’s everything we know about the season.
FBI: International was renewed for two seasons back in May 2021. Despite the dual strikes this summer, that hasn’t changed. Of course, CBS wouldn’t want to get rid of one of its more popular shows.
Eyes were just on when the show could and would return. Now we have a premiere date, and there is also confirmation of some of the cast set to return to the series.
When will FBI: International Season 3 premiere?
CBS has set the return dates for most shows after the Super Bowl. That makes sense to avoid too much disruption with the football in the run-up to the Super Bowl. It also allows plenty of time with to get enough episodes in the can as production starts up now.
FBI: International Season 3 will premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 13. It will sit in the middle of the two FBI shows as usual, with episodes airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT each week. And yes, you will be able to catch up on Paramount+ the following day.
How many episodes will be in Season 3 of FBI: International?
While CBS hasn’t confirmed the episode count for all shows, we know that the majority will be between 10 and 13 episodes. This is a Dick Wolf show, and most of them are set to run at 13 episodes. This is doable with production starting now and with a mid-February return.
CBS has confirmed that CSI: Vegas and Ghosts will get 10 episodes this season. All other shows could be 13 episodes long.
Who will return in FBI: International Season 3?
The second season left us on a major cliffhanger with multiple fates on the line. Everyone except Raines was in the building as it exploded. Raines had ran toward the building, being blasted back as the explosion went off. There’s only Tank who was a very good boy and stayed where he was told to, so we know he’s safe.
Just Jared puts the following as “expected to return” to the series:
- Luke Kleintank as Special Agent Scott Forrester
- Heida Reed as Special Agent Jamie Kellett
- Vinessa Vidotto as Special Agent Cameron Vo
- Carter Redwood as Special Agent Andre Raines
- Eva-Jane Willis as Europol Agent Megan “Smitty” Garretson
This isn’t surprising as there has been no word on anyone leaving the series. While there has been one exit from the series since the first season, it’s not as bad as FBI: Most Wanted for the revolving door of cast members (yet!).
Who is joining FBI: International Season 3?
The series will see one new series regular. The Ark‘s Christina Wolfe will join the show as an unnamed character.
What to expect in FBI: International when it returns
It’s hard to say what we’ll see happen in the series. The biggest storyline is the explosion in the building. There is sure to be something that comes off that, considering this wasn’t just an accident. This was a targeted attack on the Fly Team, and someone will need to figure out what was going on and why.
After that, we’re sure to see more storylines of the Fly Team heading around Europe to take down criminals and help American citizens.
We do need more personal storylines. The start of the series was about Forrester and Kellett’s relationship, which was put on hold. The sparks and feelings are still there, though. Could we see them pick things back up again, or will one of them move on?
One character who hasn’t had as much development as others in Raines. It’s time for him to get a little more backstory and some time on the screen.
FBI: International is on Paramount+ to catch up on before the mid-February return.
