There are some changes coming to the FBI: Most Wanted lineup again. Here’s everything we know about FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 so far.

Despite the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, we got a disappointing update about FBI: Most Wanted Season 5. The series would lose another main cast member. This series has had a revolving door of cast members since the first season.

Now we know who will come into the team to fill the space. We also have a release date and much more about the season. Here’s everything we know so far.

When will FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 premiere on CBS?

The dates are set for the CBS shows to return. FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 will premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 13. This is the same night as the fellow two FBI shows. This week is the premiere week for what is usually a fall lineup on CBS.

The series will keep its 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot, following new episodes of FBI and FBI: International.

How many episodes will be in FBI: Most Wanted Season 5?

CBS is still to confirm the exact episode counts for all shows, but we do know that the shows will have between 10 and 13 episodes. Only CSI: Vegas and Ghosts have been confirmed to have 10 episodes. The remaining shows, especially the Dick Wolf productions, are all set to have 13 episodes right now.

Production has started up on the crime drama. This does make it much easier to get 13 episodes into the story. Plus, the February premiere date will make it easy for a13-episode season to have a May final date.

Who is leaving FBI: Most Wanted?

During the summer, fans were disappointed to hear that yet another cast member was leaving the series. Alexa Davalos will not return as Kristen Gaines. Her last episode was the Season 4 finale, which was why the news could be revealed during the strike action.

We didn’t find out who would replace her until just recently. Fortunately, we don’t need to get to know a whole new character. Shantel VanSanten will reprise her role as Nina Chase from the flagship series.

The rest of the main cast is set to return. It’s not clear if everyone will be in all episodes or not, though. After all, we have seen characters disappear for a few episodes here and there in the past.

The cast is expected to be:

  • Dylan McDermott as Remy Scott
  • Roxy Sternberg as second-in-command Sheryll Barnes
  • Keisha Castle-Hughes as intelligence analyst Hana Gibson
  • Edwin Hodge as sniper Ray Cannon

What to expect in Season 5 of FBI: Most Wanted?

The fourth season wrapped things up pretty well. What we are expected to hear of is why Gaines is missing from the team and why Chase comes in. We should also see a little more of Remy’s storyline as he grapples with the idea that the police got the murderer wrong when it came to the death of his brother. That was the reason he joined the FBI, and now he has to figure out how to make the force better.

Then there are a few personal storylines to develop. One is Hana Gibson’s, who was last seen tracking down traffickers online through the dark web. Could she end up running into a situation that needs the team? Gaines was the only one who knew about this, and now it’s time to see someone else find out the truth.

It would also be good to see more of Barnes and her wife, Charlotte’s, storyline. We saw Barnes take parental leave during the fourth season, but that’s not going to solve everything with them, is it? Charlotte hates that Barnes’s career seems to take precendent in their lives, and that is sure to come up again in the fifth season.
