The Irrational Season 1 return date and everything we know
The Irrational Season 1 took its midseason break before Thanksgiving with little warning. What do we know about the shows’ return to NBC?
Back in November, The Irrational took its midseason break. This was without fanfare, as NBC didn’t even warn fans that the show wouldn’t return for a while. It was only on the night we expected a new episode that we learned that there wouldn’t be one.
It turned out that the show was one of those caught up in the dual strike action over the summer. The show will return in 2024, and now we have a return date.
When will The Irrational Season 1, Episode 8 air?
NBC has set the return date for Monday, Jan 29. The episode will remain in the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot that has fared well for it so far. Of course, it likely fared well due to the lack of competition on other networks when it came to scripted dramas.
There are no details about what to expect in the episode just yet. Production has started back up, and we’ll likely get a promo and synopsis closer to the release date.
How many episodes are left in The Irrational Season 1?
NBC opted to extend the episode count, but not by too much. We’ll get one extra episode to the season, meaning that there are four more episodes left to air. The show should wrap up its first season by the end of February.
Will The Irrational be renewed for Season 2?
Is there a chance of a renewal? There is already some great news. NBC has renewed the Jesse L. Martin series for a second season. With the extended episode count, this was expected news.
Will the bombing storyline be wrapped up?
The bombing storyline from Alec Mercer’s past has been a big storyline for the first season so far. Alec doesn’t remember all the details, and it’s now clear that this was a bigger conspiracy. The question is who pulled all the strings? That is a question that will be answered by the end of the first season.
Will Alec remember everything, though? That’s an even bigger question that hasn’t been clarified just yet. Alec has said that he will tell the truth about his burns when he remembers things, but what if he never gets all his memories back? Will he share the truth when more about the bombing comes out?
The Irrational is available to stream on Peacock.
