FBI: International Season 3 is going to see the exit of an OG cast member. Who is it, and how will the character leave the series?
FBI: International hasn’t had too much of a revolving door of cast members in the way that its fellow spin-off series FBI: Most Wanted has. It lost Christiane Paul at the end of the first season. The Fly Team itself has remained pretty consistent.
That is until now. The Fly Team will lose a member. Heida Reed is leaving FBI: International during the third season. That likely means that Forrester and Kellett won’t end up back together unless the show opts for a really heartbreaking, bittersweet storyline.
When and how will Heida Reed leave FBI: International?
TVLine reports the disappointing news, sharing that Reed will leave at some point early in Season 3. Nobody has commented on why this is happening, except that it is amicable and for creative reasons.
Is it possible that Kellett will end up being a victim in the explosion that rocked the Fly Team at the end of the second season? Kellett was in the building with Forrester, Smitty, and Vo. Raines was outside, but by the front door as the blast went off, leading to him being blasted back.
It is clear that not everyone can escape that sort of blast. It should take out one of the team members, and it looks like that could be Kellett. TVLine just says “early” in Season 3. That could be the very first episode, or we could see some flashbacks that keep her in the story. Maybe Forrester could be in a coma and we see Kellett visit him in his mind to pull him back to the land of the living. There are all sorts of creative ways that Kellett could come out but make an impact in the first few episodes of the season.
The exit comes off the back of Christina Wolfe joining the series as an unnamed character. Could she end up coming in to fill Kellett’s spot on the team?
FBI: International Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 9/8c on CBS.
