Magnum PI is heading into its final three episodes this week. Find out what’s coming in Season 5, Episode 18.
After taking a few weeks off, the series returned last week with a fun episode as Magnum and Higgins wondered if they were spending too much time together. They got a chance to test it as Katsumoto needed Magnum’s help on a case.
A rich man had gotten a mistrial for murdering his brother, with Gordon convinced the guy was guilty. He wanted Magnum to look into it despite how it was risky for both of them to target the guy. That proved true when he tried to have them both sued while Magnum tangled with a low-level PI (Jon Lovitz).
Eventually, Magnum discovered the man killed his brother because the latter wanted to reveal how the millionaire killed a woman years before and hushed it up. Magnum and Katsumoto found the body to have the guy arrested on new charges.
Meanwhile, Jin was convinced his elderly neighbor was missing despite a housesitter claiming she was on a cruise and dragged Higgins into investigating. For once, Jin was dead right, the woman had been abducted as part of a scam to sell off her house. Higgins and TC managed to save both her and Jin before it got worse.
The whole experience had Magnum and Higgins agreeing they were better off together, which should come up in this week’s episode.
What to expect in Magnum PI Season 5, Episode 18
“Extracurricular Activities” has Magnum and Higgins going undercover at a college to investigate a professor who might be having an affair with a grad student.
"Magnum and Higgins are hired by a dean at the University of Oahu to quietly investigate a professor who has been accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a female grad student. TC and Katsumoto take Cade and Dennis on a father-son camping trip."
It should be fun seeing Magnum and Higgins trying to fit in at college and likely there’s more to this professor than meets the eye. It’s also rare to see TC and Gordon together, and likely, somehow, their camping trip goes awry.
With just two episodes left after this, Magnum PI looks to finish things off this holiday season with a treat for fans.
