911: Nashville may not be coming to ABC until the next television season, but it has been heating up with even more casting news. Who else is joining Chris O’Donnell and Jessica Capshaw in the talked-about new series in the franchise?

Deadline announced that two more faces are joining the new series, and they are familiar names in the country music world. Country singer LeAnn Rimes and actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley are set to star in the series.

Besides being an actress and also the wife of country star Brad Paisley, Williams-Paisley has also starred in the Father of the Bride movies and recently appeared in Jesus Revolution and Dog Gone from Netflix. No information has been given about the role she will play, but she could be in a paramedic role or related to someone on the show who has not been announced.

Rimes is also no stranger to acting, having appeared on Days of Our Lives, Northern Lights, and Moesha. So far the only things we know about casting is that the show will center on O’Donnel’s character, Don Sharpe, who has a son named Ryan he works with and has secrets that will likely be part of his arc.

911: Nashville continues to add new cast members to the series

Capshaw was announced as being cast in the role of Sharpe’s wife, although we do not know details about her role as of yet other than this.

911: Nashville is the third series in the franchise from Ryan Murphy. The second series, 911: Lone Star was cancelled after five seasons, while the original 911 is currently in its eighth season. The show was picked up for season 9 on ABC and will likely be a lead-in to the third show once the next television season picks back up in the fall.

Season 8 of 911 is due to air its season finale on Thursday, May 15 on ABC at 8/7c. The most recent episodes have been dealing with the loss of Peter Krause's Captain Bobby Nash, which has left fans reeling in the aftermath.

We do hope to learn more information about casting and other storylines this series will involve. There is a lot to do in Nashville and we’re looking forward to following these new characters.

911 and 911: Lone Star are available to stream on Hulu.
