In some exciting news, 911: Nashville is getting ready to start filming. This makes a lot of sense with the fall premiere date, but there’s still little known about this series.
The 911 universe is growing. After a move to ABC, that’s the network that will get the new spinoffs, with FOX now seemingly closing down shop. After all, 911: Lone Star has now officially ended, whether we liked the way it ended or not.
Eyes are on the next new spinoff, which does have a 911: Lone Star feel a little. While we know it’s set in Nashville and we know one of the series leads, there’s little known about the show as a whole.

911: Nashville starts filming in June
During the Disney Upfronts in May 2025, Chris O’Donnell shared some exciting news. Filming will start this month, and that makes a lot of sense. The series is set for a fall premiere date, taking over the current Doctor Odyssey timeslot to give it the best chance of success off the back of 911 kicking off TGIT.
Filming often starts in July for fall shows, but June makes sense as well. This is often when writing is happening, but 911: Nashville has known that it’s been picked up for some months now. Writing could immediately start, and that has meant that filming can start a month early.
Will it mean an early premiere date? No, that will be timed with 911 and Grey’s Anatomy. However, it does mean some potential exciting news to come.

911: Nashville casting news could be coming soon
There’s little we know about the characters in the series. Right now, we know that Chris O’Donnell will play Captain Don Sharpe, who is dedicated to both his job and his family. Don works closely with his son at the busy firehouse, but there is no casting news for the son just yet.
We do know that Jessica Capshaw will take on the role of Blythe Sharpe, the wife of Don and mother of their uncast son. She is going to be a series regular, but it’s not clear whether we’ll get to see her interact with the firehouse or not. Could she be a 911 dispatcher, or does she keep her own life separate from the firehouse?
Just recently, we learned that LeAnne Rhimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley will get roles in the show, but no character details were shared. With the news of filming, it will mean that casting has happened for the main characters, so we should start to find out who the rest of the firehouse will be made up of.
As for now, we’ll just have to wait until fall 2025 for 911: Nashville to premiere.
