With the Los Angeles fires ravishing the city over the past week, many television shows stopped production as evacuations were occurring. Now, some shows are back on schedule to begin production and filming, including 911. How will filming occur, especially with the air quality in Los Angeles and fires still raging in areas including the Pacific Palisades and Altadena?
911 films on the Fox Studio Lot and luckily, according to Deadline, filming will commence indoors. This means that we will likely get plenty of scenes with characters inside their homes, dispatch, and inside of the station. We could get a bottle episode that will show them indoors rather than going outside.
Even though we would love a good bottle episode, the reasons for it occurring are sad considering the devastation in real life. However, we will look forward to seeing how the show brings the characters back into the fold so we can see what is happening with our favorites.
What we want to see as 911 returns
So far, we’re still looking to see how Buck (Oliver Stark) is coping after his recent breakup while Bobby and Athena’s (Peter Krause and Angela Bassett) house-hunting adventure has been put on the back burner. Plus, we also saw Eddie (Ryan Guzman) announce to his best friend that he was moving to El Paso to be closer to Christopher. Hen (Aisha Hinds) and Karen (Tracie Thoms) finally also got a small bit of happiness with their family, even though we hope it doesn’t come at the cost of either of their kids being hurt, either emotionally or physically.
The first half of season 8 left many questions for viewers, especially since the midseason finale episode didn’t allow us to focus on the core characters. But now that we will get the second half in a little less than two months, we should find out what will happen with everyone involved, especially Maddie Han (Jennifer Love Hewitt).
One major storyline we’re looking forward to is involving Maddie, who looked like she was being abducted in the promo for the next episode. We don’t know the outcome yet or if she and her unborn child will be okay. There’s still so many questions we need answers to!
Since 911 had at least one or two episodes filmed prior to the delay in production, hopefully, the show will still return on Thursday, March 6. We will keep you posted if there is any more information regarding the filming of the show, especially as more word comes in on how the battle against the remaining fires is going.
In the meantime, you can rewatch previous seasons of 911 on Hulu to catch up before the rest of season 8 returns.
