It is time for the reentry in 911 season 9, the epic conclusion of what’s become a four-part story to open the new season. You will not want to miss a beat of 911 season 9 episode 4.

To be honest, we shouldn’t be all that worried about losing a main character. I will say that the loss of Bobby Nash in 911 season 8 has upped the stakes a little when it comes to the loss of a main character, but I can’t see the show doing it twice in back-to-back seasons. However, I do think a major loss should have happened much earlier in the show for us to actually be concerned about the loss of main characters moving forward.

That being said, it’s time for 911 season 9 episode 4, titled “Reentry,” and it looks like Athena could end up floating in space for a bit. Let’s dive in to everything that needed to watch the episode.

What time is 911 season 9 episode 4 on ABC?

The good new is the episode will air tonight, Thursday, Oct. 30. You’ll be able to check out the episode at the usual time of 8/7c. It kicks of Thursday night dramas, leading into 911: Nashville if you’re watching that spinoff.

ABC shows can be watched in a few ways if you don’t have cable, including on the ABC website. You can check episodes out on Fubo TV and YouTube TV, although keep an eye on the YouTube TV deal as Disney is the latest company in negotiations after NBC just recently went through them.

Can’t watch the episode live? That’s okay! There are options, with Hulu as the place to stream the episodes the following day. The entire series is there to rewatch as well.

As Athena and Hen navigate their way back home, Athena will be forced to confront what it means to live without Bobby. Mark Consuelos guest stars.

What to expect in 911 season 9 episode 4

The episode brings us to the epic conclusion of the four-part space event. Athena and Hen need to find a way to get back to Earth. Right now, they, the rest of Tripp’s passengers and the sole astronaut on the International Space Station have an emergency they need to deal with. They can’t get in touch with NASA, and the docking equipment is broken. Someone needs to go outside to fix it.

Why can’t the trained astronaut? That’s likely linked to the injuries she sustained, or it could be because she needs to handle some controls on the inside while someone fixes something on the outside. So, what about the Apollo 18 astronaut? I wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted to volunteer, so why can’t he get out there?

It’s going to be Athena, though. Hen initially volunteers, but Athena makes it clear that she can’t lose anyone else. That means she has to be the one to go outside and put her own life on the line. Oh, how her children are going to be a mixture of angry and proud of her for making this decision.

What about the story on the ground? The synopsis tells us nothing, but debris is still falling out of the sky. It’s likely that they’ll have another major medical emergency to tackle, offering someone else some growth. Or maybe Chimney will have to answer for his decisions to do a field amputation without a surgeon during the previous episode.

911 season 9 episode 4 airs on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 8/7c on ABC.
