Now that everyone is back on Earth, it’s time to resume the usual calls. Well, before that, 911 season 9 episode 5 needs to give us an episode that is all about supernatural events and the dead.
Yes, it’s the Día de los Muertos episode that we have all been waiting for. Eddie is about to get his “spiritual awakening,” and it looks like it’s all about him embracing the supernatural.
Eddie sees things he can’t explain in 911 season 9 episode 5
It’s interesting that Chicago Fire had just done an episode involving a supernatural element for its Halloween-themed episode. Cruz saved a woman all because of an old man with an oxygen tank. It turned out that the guy used to live in the same apartment building the woman was in, but had died three years earlier. Tony pointed out to Cruz that every firefighter has at least one save that can’t be explained.
Now it’s time for Eddie to experience that, as the 118 is called to an exorcism. Well, that’s what the people holding a woman down say they’re doing. A demon is inside of her, and they need to get that demon out.
We all know Eddie, though. He doesn’t believe in the supernatural, and he has certainly had a crisis of faith over recent years. It’s time for him to accept that maybe the supernatural is a real thing, and as he starts to see more things that can’t be explained, he could have his “spiritual awakening.”
One thing that I hope we see is that Eddie accepts that death is a part of life. He’s always struggled with it, despite the line of work that he’s in, and he’s still not moved on from Shannon. This episode could offer that chance so that he can focus on something good and new in his life.
Buck also sees something scary
Meanwhile, Buck is going to be a big part of the scary episode. He tells Maddie that he keeps hearing things in the walls, and he’s sure it’s squirrels. Of course, Maddie jokes that it could be ghosts, but this is something that Buck believes in. Maybe she shouldn’t let his mind run wild.
It looks like Buck will go hunting for the sound in 911 season 9 episode 5, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he found a body somewhere in the crawl spaces of the property. Could that mean he ends up having to move again?
