A case from Voight's past comes up in Chicago PD season 12, episode 4 (Preview)
There’s a case that connects to Voight’s past in Chicago PD season 12, episode 4. This is not an episode you’ll want to miss.
We’ve had a Ruzek-heavy opening and now an Atwater episode. It’s time to turn to the leader of the team as we get a Voight-heavy episode. This is important considering everything that Voight went through in the season 11 finale. It’s not the recent past that comes up, though.
Is it the same offender in Chicago PD season 12, episode 4?
The new episode sees a woman taken, and it connects to Voight’s past. He had a case where women were taken, and there has to be something that he missed. The same offender may be out there, or he may be dealing with a copycat. It’s hard to tell right now. All we know is that Voight is not going to let this one go.
Asa Chapman will step in to help with this case. As the Assistant State’s Attorney, she wants to get to the bottom of the situation and put someone behind bars. She’s ready for justice for the victims of the past and the potential victims of today.
This is all happening while Intelligence remains a team member down. Nobody has stepped into Upton’s spot permanently just yet. We know that Kiana Cook will eventually step in, but it’s not going to be until episode 6 of the season. Intelligence has worked with a person down before as we regularly see someone on furlough or on another case.
They’ll be fine, as long as Voight doesn’t go down a rabbit hole on his own. The problem is Voight can get obsessed with cases. This is a good problem to have for the victims, but it’s a bad one for Voight and the team when he starts to run on fumes.
