Officer Cook needs Intelligence's help in Chicago PD season 12, episode 5 (Preview)

While we won’t get to see Officer Cook join Intelligence just yet, it looks like Chicago PD season 12, episode 5 is setting things up for her to join. The promo tells us little, but the synopsis teases this.

We know that Intelligence will get its latest team member in episode 6. We have already met Cook, but it was only in one episode. That episode was emotionally charged as Ruzek tried to focus on finding a young boy after the loss of Martel. Cook responded to the shots being fired, and she quickly got to work helping Ruzek.

Now it’s time for Cook to come across Intelligence again. This time, she will need Intelligence’s help.

A rainstorm and a murder in Chicago PD season 12, episode 4

The new episode will see a huge rainstorm, which is going to make it difficult for the police. This means that the evidence is going to be washed away quickly, so they will all need to get to work.

A dead body washes up in the water, and it looks like there’s nothing to help the team. However, Torres sees a woman, and it’s clear that this woman could be key to help figure out what happened.

The synopsis tells us a little more about Cook. She responds to the call with her partner. However, the two disagree about an investigation, and this leads to Cook turning to the Intelligence Unit to get to the bottom of things. It looks like she’ll prove her worth, leading to Voight offering her a position on the team.
