After taking the winter break off, Intelligence is back in the action. It’s a difficult case in Chicago PD season 12, episode 9.
The last we left Intelligence, Voight had a visit from Deputy Chief Reid. After Reid learned that Voight had covered a lot up with Dante and Burgess, he decided that he would let it slide, but on one condition. He wants to become friends with Voight.
It’s clear that this is going to be a problem in the future. Reid is up to something, and he’s likely found a cop he can rely on to cover some shady things up. And it’s not looking good that Reid is involved in the latest case.
A hunt for missing girls in Chicago PD season 12, episode 9
The promo makes it clear that the new episode will focus on the kidnapping of two girls. They have been taken for ransom, and we all know that you shouldn’t pay the ransom. The cops usually have a way to tackle this situation, but it will require some delicacy.
Well, it’s not going to be so easy. There are administrative roadblocks along the way. What are the chances of Reid being involved in these roadblocks? Whoever is involved, it’s going to require some creative thinking from Intelligence, and this is where Cook comes into play.
Kiana Cook has only been with Intelligence for a few episodes now, and she’s making it clear that she is an integral part of the team. She’ll turn to her family to help deal with the roadblocks and make sure they can wrap up the case and save the girls.
We don’t know a lot about Cook’s family right now. All we know about her past is that she was part of the Tactical Unit before being bumped back to patrol as someone else tried to save their own career. It’ll be interesting to see how her family can possibly help with the latest case. Does that mean someone in her family is also a cop?
