The new episode focuses on a violent break-in that leads Intelligence to a previous case. This could be thanks to the chilling suspect, who seems to know that the police have nothing to hold him on. However, Voight is sure that they have the right guy, and it won’t take too long for his suspicions to come true.

Could this link to the photo of himself as a boy being left on his car? It would certainly fit the idea, especially considering that this is the fall finale and the promo is Voight-centric. Now would be the perfect time to delve just a little more into his past and what happened to him, maybe helping us to understand why he became the cop that he did.
