We’re more than ready to watch another episode of Code of Silence. This is where we have some bad news, though. There isn’t a new episode dropping on BritBox today.
However, while there is some initial bad news, there is also some good news. We will at least get some episodes of Code of Silence in the future.
Why isn’t there a new episode of Code of Silence on today?
There is no new episode on Thursday, Aug. 28, and that’s for one reason. The previous episode was the Code of Silence season 1 finale. It’s why the story wrapped up the main case. It brought us some much-needed answers about Liam, the gang, and Alison’s feelings about Liam.
We learned that Liam had been playing the gang from the start, but not because he was just another criminal. He wanted to get revenge on Braden and Helen after learning that they were responsible for the murder of his foster dad. Well, they were part of the armed robbery that happened years earlier.
Alison ended up being a bit of collateral damage, but not maliciously. You see, Liam ended up falling for Alison as well, but she had other ideas, and those ideas lead us to the good news.
Code of Silence season 2 is officially happening
Not long after the first season aired in the UK, we got the great news that there would be a second season. That’s a great thing considering the way the first season ended. While there is some closure, there is also the prospect of future storylines with Alison working with the police in an official capacity as a lip reader.
This is where we’ll likely see Alison in Code of Silence season 2. She’ll likely end up working with some of the cops from before, although maybe not all of them considering Ben is sure to want to avoid her after likely blaming her for being shot in the line of duty.
We just now have a wait on our hands. Code of Silence season 2 is likely to air sometime in 2026, but it will air in the UK first. We’ll have to wait for BritBox to get the second season, and while BritBox hasn’t yet officially confirmed it will air season 2, we’re sure it will do considering the positive response about the show.
