Alison follows Liam and Braden in Code of Silence

While at The Tap, Alison sees Braden mention a street name, which tells Alison that that’s the next location. She texts Ashleigh the location, but then decides to go off by herself. There is a little bit of interference while she films Liam, Braden, and Helen to see what they’re talking about, but that’s not the issue. Dropping her phone is.

While Alison manages to get her phone and doesn’t get caught, Ashleigh points out that Alison needs to stick by the rules. Well, James is happy with the progress thanks to Alison and encourages her to keep an eye on everything at The Tap.

That night, Liam comes to see Alison and apologizes for checking her phone. He grew up in foster care, and he doesn’t see why people would actually want to talk with him, so he’s always suspicious of people. However, hanging out gives Alison a chance to see the next meeting location as Liam gets a text.

The problem is that Alison and Liam are starting to get closer. Is this going to start blurring the lines for Alison, as she finally has someone who isn’t ignoring her?

A new person joins the conversation

While at the ice rink, the trio meet with another man and a woman. The woman is completely unknown, with Alison saying that she thinks her name is Sandra. This is where we see that lip-reading isn’t as perfect as so many other TV shows have tried to tell us. Sandra’s surname could start with a B or an M, and it could end in a SH.

Nia Caballero does her work with her database and finds a Chandra Baskshi, who works at the A. Joshi Steel Group. She’s the insider who will work with the transport team. Yes, this A. Joshi is the head of one of India’s wealthiest families and has just arrived in the UK. It makes sense that this is all coming together, then.

Back at the pub that night while Alison is working, she sees Braden meeting with a man she recognizes from the photos in the first episode of Code of Silence. They’re meeting in private and have a bag with something unknown, but when Alison texts Ashleigh about it, Alison is told to do nothing. It’s probably for the best. Alison needs to stop getting so deep into this.

Braden also seems to be on to her. When she goes home, Braden is also there talking with Julie, and he makes it clear that he doesn’t like or trust her. She needs to stay out of his way when she’s working her shifts.

As Braden gets back to the pub, the police are there with a warrant to search for drugs. One of the guys there, Mark, swears that it wasn’t him, and Braden believes him. However, it’s clear that someone is onto them, and Braden is starting to feel some of the heat. He also doesn’t trust Liam.

Alison may have a solution to being evicted in Code of Silence

Throughout all of this, Alison and Julie learn that they’re going to be evicted, and Alison needs to do what she can to prevent that. Eithan points out that Hollis & Byrne need to do things the legal way, and there are options, so Alison decides that she’ll fight.

As she gets ready to write a letter to the Hollis & Byrne directors, she finds out that the Chief Financial Officer is Joseph Holhurst. Yes, one of the same men from a while back, who happens to have been on the radar of the police for a few years. He starts companies, gets them into debt, and then declares bankruptcy.

James goes into more details about the type of people they are trying to catch. At the last jewelry store robbery, a jeweler was shot and left paralyzed. Others were killed, and Helen’s husband was sent down for manslaughter. However, James is sure that Braden pulled the trigger on one of the guns as well. They need to catch all of them, but he points out that Alison isn’t police and she can’t get too involved in the fight.

Of course, Alison isn’t going to step back. She couldn’t let people get hurt if she can do something to help, so she will remain at the pub to help but keep away from Braden. However, she can’t stay away from Liam, as they end up kissing at the end of the episode.
