Alison finds herself deeper into the criminal enterprise in Code of Silence season 1, episode 4. Her trip away with Liam could help the cops, but could she start to grow real feelings for him?

Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Code of Silence season 1, episode 4

With Alison getting closer to Liam, Ashleigh is understandably concerned. That’s even more the case when Alison starts asking about what Liam’s life is looking like when he’s arrested. Ashleigh notes that if they can catch the gang before the guns are pulled out, Liam stands a chance of a life afterward.

Alison isn’t the only one Ashleigh is concerned about, though. She also wants to understand why James is so hellbent on getting Liam, as he’s the rookie. Well, he’s not a rookie with the skills that he has, but there has to be something more to this for James.

Alison and Liam go on a trip away in Code of Silence

Liam decides that he wants to take Alison away, and he talks to Helen about making it a work trip that she comes along for. Helen wants to meet Alison first, and she decides that she will pay for their trip away. Liam also buys Alison a new dress.

They’re not staying at the same hotel as the Joshi family, who may have their jewels stashed with the Croesus International Vaults, as that’s where the family has an account at. The family is staying at the Mayfair Regency Hotel, while Liam and Alison are staying at the Hawthrone Estate Hotel. Of course, this doesn’t mean that they can’t end up meeting.

Sure enough, Liam takes Alison for dinner, and that’s when she sees that Amar Joshi and his group are there. Is it possible that Liam has brought Alison so that she can read the conversations of the Joshi group? That’s certainly the way that it seems.

Ben worries about Alison’s involvement

Ben continues to worry about Alison’s involvement, sure that she’s going to cause trouble. He thinks that Ashleigh needs to run a trace on Alison, of course, for her own safety. However, is that really necessary?

Alison is doing her job while away with Liam. She’s reporting back to Ashleigh, but she’s deleting her messages to keep everything protected. Her sharing the name Jack Standford that Liam uses is also great for the cops, as they find out that a Jack Standford visited the vault the Joshi family jewels are stored at.

Alison even meets with Ashleigh to share what she believes about Liam and the Joshi family. This is where things threaten to take a turn, though. Liam has hacked into the hotel’s CCTV footage, and he’s watching Alison meet with Ashleigh. Even Ashleigh considers that this has happened, but Alison is sure that Liam isn’t onto her.

Oh dear, she should have listened to Ashleigh. Liam decides he wants to play a game with Joshi and his daughter so close. He wants Alison to spy on Joshi’s daughter to see what she’s saying, and it leads to a discussion about some sort of upgrade and something about bidding. Alison also shares that Joshi’s daughter isn’t happy about her dad selling something, and she pretends that she doesn’t know it’s a necklace that Ashleigh has found out is being sold to teach the daughter a lesson.

It doesn’t look like Liam is interested in telling the rest of the group about what he’s seen, though. Braden notes later that he doesn’t trust Alison, and this would be the perfect time to share. Instead, he tells Alison everything about what’s going on, and he wants them both to leave when it’s all done. He wants a real life with her, but will she take it?

After all, Alison is still dealing with the eviction, which is happening. On top of that, Julie hasn’t secured a job, making it harder for the two of them to rent a new place. Can Alison really leave her mom behind?
