There is no way that death can happen in Revival (but it could mean Em's secret comes out)

The end of Revival season 1, episode 4 puts a life on the line, but that doesn't mean death, right?

Revival certainly put us through all of the emotions in episode 4, and it ended with a major cliffhanger. I don’t believe the series will kill off a particular character, but I do think it will be the catalyst for Em’s secret to come out.

Caution: We’re delving into MAJOR SPOILERS for Revival season 1, episode 4 in this post.

The episode saw Em and Dana attempt to figure out who killed Em, but they’re doing it separately. Thanks to already working a few things out, Em is a step ahead of her sister, but the two still end up at the same place in the woods in Revival season 1, episode 4.

Sadly, Dana ends up being shot by a man who is covered in burns. It’s possible that this man was going after Em, but we can’t be certain just yet. It doesn’t really matter, as Dana is the one with her life on the line.

Dana can’t die in Revival season 1

Look, there’s just no way that we can lose the female lead in this series. We’ve only just got to know Dana, and Melanie Scrofano is one of the leading ladies. It doesn’t make sense to kill her off, although that would leave us guessing at what the writers have in store from that point onward. We have seen TV shows kill major characters off in the past, such as when Ryan Philippe’s character was killed off in the Big Sky series premiere.

I just don’t think it’s going to happen, and I don’t even need the comic books to guess that. Right now, Dana is too involved in plot lines for her story to end so suddenly.

There is a huge benefit of Ramin being close by with a car. That would likely mean that he rushes out to the woods, sees Dana and Em, and then rushes Dana to the hospital for surgery.

This is sure to bring Em’s secret out in Revival

Of course, Wayne is sure to be angry at Dana. He is overly protective of his younger daughter, and he is highly critical of Dana. Eventually, Em is going to have to do or say something to protect Dana, making it clear that Dana was actually, in a way, following her to the woods and not the other way around.

The only way to do that is to reveal her secret. That will mean Wayne has to deal with the fact that Em died, and it had nothing to do with Dana at all. Some of it was to do with the way Em had to be wrapped up in cotton wool, but some of it is linked to something going on in the town.

It’s also possible that Em could use her Reviver abilities to help heal Dana. We know that Reviver tissue heals, so is there a way to pass that on to Dana in some way? Would she even want that? Either way, it could mean Ramin finds out about Em’s secret, leading to him looking into whether Reviver tissue can be used to help a member of the living.

Revival airs on Thursdays at 10/9c on Syfy.
