At the end of Down Cemetery Road season 1 episode 6, everyone was rushing to reach the island where Dinah is being held. In episode 7, the thrill of the chase is far from over. If anything, it gets deadlier with every passing minute.

Sarah finally gets what she wants in episode 7 of this increasingly suspenseful TV crime drama: she finds Dinah. But the cost is high — perhaps too high for her to bear. After losing one ally, she's not ready to lose any more.
Down Cemetery Road season 1 episode 7 reunites its protagonists
After the cat-and-mouse chase that lasted all through episode 6, it's time for the face-off that's been simmering all along. It's also high time for Sarah and Downey to reunite, and Zoe to finally meet the man she put herself in danger for.
Downey reaches the abandoned military base first, taking out the two guards and briefly sharing a moment with Dinah, who runs straight into his arms. With Amos closing in, he's forced back into survival mode. Downey finds the tracking device hidden in the toy bear and leaves it behind as bait, then leads Dinah and Steph into temporary cover.
Meanwhile, Zoe and Sarah catch up and find the building where Downey is hiding right before Amos does. Amid the chaos, there is a rare moment of tenderness when Sarah finally sees Dinah and gives her Ziggy's card.
But it doesn't last. Amos opens fire on the building, killing Steph and making Downey take a desperate decision: leave Dinah with Sarah and Zoe, and draw Amos away. His effort buys them little time. Amos catches up and kills him.
Sarah lost Downey for good in Down Cemetery Road season 1 episode 7 — but did she lose Zoe?
Once Sarah realizes Downey's never coming back, Sarah refuses to let anyone else die — especially Zoe, whose bond with her deepens on the boat ride over. Zoe opens up about her grief for Joe and tells Sarah how much she reminds her of him. They're both like dogs with a bone, getting involved in cases they couldn't finish. When she offers to lure Amos away, Sarah hesitates. But Zoe insists.
What follows is a tense chase across the cliffs and down across the beach. Zoe dodges multiple bullets, hides behind a rock, and makes a last sprint across the sand, triggering landmines in the process. One hits her. Zoe doesn't rise.
Sarah, now in the boat with Dinah, has no choice but to flee as Amos fires toward them. But she's left with a new, unbearable question: has she just lost her last friend?
Down Cemetery Road season 1 episode 8 airs on Wednesday, Dec. 10, on Apple TV, and marks the season's finale. Will one episode answer all the pressing questions and tie up the loose ends? Or are we in for a second season?
