FBI: Most Wanted is taking a break tonight, but the show will be back soon

The Fugitive Task Force is taking a bit of a break from cases. There won't be a new episode of FBI: Most Wanted on tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 24.

It’s Tuesday night, and that usually means we have new episodes of FBI: Most Wanted. There’s no doubt that we’re ready to see what the Fugitive Task Force is after next, but that’s not happening tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 24.

There isn’t a new episode of the series on tonight. The entire FBI lineup is taking some time off, and that isn’t surprising when you consider it’s Christmas Eve. This is when the broadcast networks see a dip in the live ratings, and it’s not fair on the shows to put them at risk. The networks opt for holiday programming this time of year instead.

FBI: Most Wanted will be back before you know it

CBS has set return dates, though. They are a little later than the likes of NBC and most ABC shows, but not too late. We’ll still get new episodes of FBI: Most Wanted season 6 in January 2025. The official return date is Tuesday, Jan. 28, with episodes airing at 10 p.m. ET/PT to end FBI Night again.

There is a lot going on in the world of FBI: Most Wanted, and the midseason finale was emotionally charged. It brought a story of racist, dirty cops. This is sure to come up again in the future, as Ray was angry at the way he’d been treated, even at the end. He had to make a choice not to shoot one of the racist cops, even though he wanted some sort of revenge.

Meanwhile, Remy’s personal story has come up over the last two episodes. His long-distance relationship with Abby is working, and he wanted to take the next step with her, having her move in when she is in town. She decided that wouldn’t work, and while they seem good, it’s clear that they both want different things.

Will FBI: Most Wanted be renewed for season 7?

While FBI was renewed for three seasons back in early 2024, that wasn’t the case for FBI: Most Wanted. That show only scored a one-season renewal, and now our eyes are on the chances of it being renewed for season 7.

It’s hard to say with this one. While it is a popular procedural on a Tuesday night, the show isn’t performing as well as other shows. It will all depend on whether CBS thinks the timeslot should be put at risk with a new series, or whether the network is happy with the FBI lineup as it is for a little longer.

FBI: Most Wanted season 4 is available to stream on Paramount+ if you need to catch up.
