While we are certainly ready for new episodes of FBI: Most Wanted, they are not ready for us. CBS will not air a new episode of the series tonight, Tuesday, March 25.
In some worse news, we won’t even get a rerun tonight. CBS has opted for two hours of Watson reruns after a rerun of FBI season 7. This does make sense in the grand scheme of things, but it doesn’t mean we have to like it.
Why isn’t FBI: Most Wanted airing new tonight?
The lack of new episode is two-fold. The main reason is due to CBS’s need to schedule content throughout the nine months of the regular TV season. That means getting enough episodes to air in May for the finale weeks, and the best way to do that is to stagger episodes and have a few reruns here and there.
The other reason is for the production schedule. There are still some episodes to film, and breaks like this in the schedule give production time to get through them and get through post-production for sooner episodes.
Why not put on a rerun of FBI: Most Wanted, though? Well, that will be linked to the fact that that FBI: Most Wanted has been canceled. It was a shocking decision, but CBS still has Watson on the bubble and likely wants to give it a push. Reruns straight after a show that is popular in the rerun area make sense.
When will FBI: Most Wanted return with new episodes?
There is some good news when it comes to the break. It’s a short one, with new episodes airing on Tuesday, April 1. Don’t worry; I’m not joshing with you!
The new episode will see the team track down someone who loves to see his victims suffer. He poisons them, and then he waits to see what the reaction is like. Now the town’s water supply is at risk, and it’s a race against time to find out where the fugitive is.
FBI: Most Wanted will return on Tuesday, April 1 at 10/9c on CBS.
