The FBI shows aren't new tonight, but there is some good news (Jan. 7, 2025)

Christmas is over and a new year has begun. This should mean the FBI shows are back, but there's some bad news right now.

“Perfect” – The team is called in to track down a serial killer after the bodies of multiple women with the same physical description are found scattered across the city. Meanwhile, Maggie juggles her roles as a guardian to Ella and an FBI agent, on FBI, Tuesday, Dec. 3 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).

We would love nothing more than to jump straight into the three FBI shows tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 7. This is the time of year that a lot of networks bring back their shows off their winter breaks, but there is some bad news for CBS shows right now.

There are no new episodes of the three FBI shows tonight. CBS continues its winter break until the end of the month. In some good news, there are reruns throughout the night, so you don’t need to feel like you’re missing out.

Which episode of FBI will air tonight?

Tuesday, Jan. 7 will see a rerun of FBI season 7, episode 2. Titled “Trusted,” this is the first episode without Tiffany Wallace, who had made the choice to leave the New York Field Office to be closer to her sister after the events in the season 6 finale.

The episode also introduced Clay, a former friend and colleague of OA’s. We immediately got a sense that Clay wasn’t going to be a good guy, and that was confirmed in the season 7 midseason finale.

The case for this episode involved the murder of a couple in their own home. All evidence pointed toward the previous homeowner, but there was a catch. This homeowner had been in federal prison for the last 10 years, so how did they do it?

Touts
“Touts” – When a former member of the Irish Republican Army turned U.S. citizen is shot while in London with his son touring youth football academies, Smitty and the Fly Team work to hunt down the people responsible as the group becomes increasingly violent. While in London, Smitty pays a visit to her mother who she believes can help the team locate an old family friend who may have a connection to the case, on FBI: INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday, May 7 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television

Which episode of FBI: International will air tonight?

We’ll jump back to FBI: International season 3 for tonight’s rerun. It’s all about episode 11, which saw a former IRA member shot in London. The Fly Team had to head to London to deal with the situation, which meant that Smitty would face her family and a few truths about her parents.

The team would need to hunt down those responsible for the person’s murder. As you would expect, tensions rose and the assailants became more and more dangerous.

Pageantry
“Pageantry” – When an international beauty queen is killed on live television, the Fugitive Task Force heads to Philadelphia to hunt down the killer. Meanwhile, Hana senses that Ethan is hiding something, on FBI: MOST WANTED, Tuesday, Dec. 3 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs). Which episode of FBI: Most Wanted will air tonight?

Finally, we get a new episode of FBI: Most Wanted, and we head back to the fifth episode of season 5. Titled “Desperate,” the episode sees the task force head to rural Pennsylvania, where a high school English teacher and the entire school’s debate team are taken hostage.

Why would someone want to take these people? That’s something the Fugitive Task Force needs to figure out if they want to find everyone alive and catch the culprits.

When will the FBI shows return to CBS?

Now you’ll want to know when we’ll get new episodes of the three shows. They will return in January, but not until the end of the month. Get Tuesday, Jan. 28 in your diaries.

The good news is that this longer break now means that we won’t have to deal with as many breaks when the shows do return. It makes for a more consistent schedule, which is better for the future of the three shows.

FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted are all available to stream on Paramount+.
