We're closing in on finales, and that means one last break for a few shows. The FBI shows are heading into their final break.

There’s some bad news for those ready to check out the latest FBI cases tonight, Tuesday, April 29. There will be no episodes of the three FBI shows tonight.

This is the final break of the 2024–2025 TV season for the three shows. In fact, it’s the final break ever for two of them, as FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted have remained canceled by CBS. This is heartbreaking enough, so what’s the deal with the break this week?

The FBI shows will now has a straight tun to their season finales

The break is mostly due to scheduling needs. CBS set the dates for the FBI show finales to air on Tuesday, May 20, and there are four weeks to fill with content. Yet, there are only three episodes left, which means a break is needed. At least it’s now before we head into the final month of the regular TV season.

For FBI it’s a run to the next hiatus. The series has been renewed for season 8 (and season 9!), and that is likely to air in the fall. As for FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted, this is the last break ever before the shows come to an abrupt end. While there was time to wrap up some storylines, we’re not expecting them all to be wrapped fully.

The good news for those not ready for a night off from crime, there are reruns of all three FBI shows throughout the night.

When will FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted return?

The three shows are only taking one week off. They will all return on Tuesday, May 6, starting with the flagship series at 8/7c on CBS.

In FBI season 7, episode 20, the New York team will need to deal with an AI device on a killing spree. How are they supposed to stop an AI? That’s the problem; there is so much that we can’t do against technology. However, there is always someone behind the technology, and that will be the way in.

A prisoner exchange takes place in FBI: International season 4, episode 20, and it puts one of the lives of the Fly Team on the line. It’s Vo again, but will the show really write her out with just two episodes in the rest of the series after this one?

Then in FBI: Most Wanted season 6, episode 20, we’ll see a mayor who fakes her own kidnapping as a way to escape a prison sentence. However, the Fugitive Task Force is called in when a federal agent is killed.

The FBI shows return on Tuesday, May 6 starting at 8/7c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
