During Found season 2, episode 19, Sir was released from prison. He’s still in cuffs, but he’s out of the prison system, and this offers him a chance to negotiate terms. The question is who has released him.

The episode made it clear that someone important has managed to get Sir out of the prison system he’s in. This entity won’t allow Gabi to speak with him, but this shouldn’t annoy Gabi too much who wants to avoid that to help her healing. It’s Sir who is likely to suffer.
However, the M&A Team are going to be on guard now that they know Sir is working with someone powerful. This allows him to continue to be a threat, which means Gabi can’t heal that well.
Sir is working with the FBI in Found
As Margaret questions how Sir was out, in a black suit, paying his respects to Christian — because I don’t actually think Sir had anything to do with Christian’s death — Dhan realized that it was the FBI. Lacey noted that Sir had made himself invaluable to the FBI. That’s the only reason they would take him out of prison and work with him. This is likely how he’s able to negotiate his release.
Now the M&A Team will need to figure out what Sir has that makes him invaluable. Sir is a smart man, and he knows how to work a system. He can manipulate people easily, and he holds a lot of information in his mind. It’s not surprising that the FBI would want to work with a man like that.
Just think about how the FBI has developed units and information in the past. They work with the criminals that they catch to learn all the tools of the trade. This insider knowledge allows them to more effectively stop others, and it’s considered a better of the evils.
Sir is still focused on Gabi in Found
According to NBC Insider, Sir isn’t doing this just for himself. He is doing it to be with Gabi again. He wants to prove to her that he is invaluable to her. It doesn’t matter about the FBI, but the FBI is a means to an end.
For those who aren’t ready to see the Gabi/Sir dynamic to end, this storyline offers some hope. Now we need a third season to see how the storyline can continue to play out, because I can’t see this wrapping up in three episodes.
