Found season 2, episode 21 didn’t take too long to tell us what happened to Gabi Mosely in the previous episode. Meanwhile, there was another case for the M&A Team to figure out.
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Found season 2, episode 21.
The new episode brought plenty of storylines for various characters. Of course, the biggest question for us was what had happened to Gabi after Lena had taken her at the end of the previous episode. Well, it turned out that Gabi and the team are much smarter than Sir will ever give them credit for.
What happened to Gabi in Found season 2, episode 21?
The new episode opened with Gabi in the hospital, with Lacey and Margaret with her and Zeke on the phone. It turned out that the M&A Team planned everything. Lena hadn’t taken or poisoned Gabi at all in the previous episode, but they staged it all so that Sir would believe it. Gabi went a step further taking things to make sure she threw up, making her “attack” look as realistic as possible.
With Dhan in the visitation room with Sir, he got a call from Lacey to say that Gabi had been found. This allowed Sir to see that Gabi was safe, but then Gabi got everyone to hang up the phone on him. He’s still spiraling, believing that his sister had taken Gabi.
The M&A Team are going a step further, with Dhan creating a fake voicemail from Sir for Lena to listen to from. Hopefully, this is enough to lure Lena in to get her arrested so that the remaining clients are safe.

The M&A Team help find a missing Jewish family
With antisemitism on the rise and hate crimes against the Jewish population everywhere, it’s timely for Found to focus on a missing Jewish family. The leader of Lacey’s law school study group comes to see the M&A Team with the case, and they all quickly get to work. It doesn’t take long for Gabi and Trent to realize that this entire situation is more serious. One of the members of the family is diabetic and needs insulin.
So, the focus turns on the Synagogue to find out if there were signs of problems. One family shares that the community is being attacked, and the Rabbi explains that there was an attack at school. Well, that started off with a teen “talking smack” to get Seth to miss his shot in sports, but it turned into hate speech. The boy’s dad is proud of his son, making it clear early on he’s a Nazi.
It wasn’t this family, though, so who took the Jewish family? Some deleted video helps to deepen the case, as there were comments from people in the Modern Orthodox Jewish community that were not happy with the family’s daughter dancing online.
When Zeke hacks into the bank records, he learns that the mom used her card at an ATM machine. This leads to finding video footage, which shows mom and son taking the money out and being held at gunpoint. Margaret notes that the mom isn’t scared — she has a plan. So, it’s clear that entering the wrong pin number is a signal, and the team finds out that the numbers correspond to a family name.
It turns out that the wrong family was targeted. The Lieb family was supposed to be the target, and that puts the other family in trouble. On top of that, Jamie spots that the van used to take the original family had a spot that looked like a decal used to be there. Sure enough, it was a locksmith decal, and a photo of the owner of the business is the man Lacey saw when looking at the house.
With that, it’s possible to find the family, just in time to find Seth and get him his insulin. It’s a happy ending for this family.
Margaret and Jamie tell the rest of the family the truth in Found season 2
Finally, Jamie wants his father and sisters to learn about his reappearance. Taylor and Margaret had already made up, but Rachel still refused to talk to her mom. Things changed in this episode, as Rachel hugged her mom immediately and apologized for giving up on her brother. Taylor focused on hugging Jamie, which makes sense with the way Taylor and Margaret have moved forward.
However, things take a turn when Jamie shares that he’s been living in a motel for a month. The truth about how long Margaret has known about Jamie comes out, and naturally, her ex-husband turns on her about keeping this from him. Margaret defended herself in style, because she’s right; he gave up and Margaret kept searching.
There are flashbacks of Jamie throughout the episode. He has always been in the same town, and he even came across his dad and sisters in the past, but didn’t go over to see them. Well, someone else in the park, and Jamie had figured that someone was about to take a little girl in the park. Rather than seeing his dad and sisters, he went to save the little girl. It was a huge sacrifice, but a worthy one. He really is Margaret’s son.
One thing I love about the present day is that we see Jamie working with M&A. This is the family he is going to need to deal with the complicated emotions that come from being abducted and lied to, and he can also feel like he’s doing good by saving people.
In the end, Margaret encourages Jamie to spend time with his dad and sisters. Margaret will deal with the fallout on her end. To be honest, the sisters are likely to understand, and I agree with Margaret that she has nothing to apologize for.

Does Dhan capture Lena in Found season 2, episode 21?
Dhan gets his FBI contact to help out with the capture of Lena. It’s off the books, so this guy is putting his career on the line. There is history here, as it turns out that FBI guy owes Dhan a huge debt that can’t be repaid. A guy called Mike is mentioned, and that leads to Dhan getting angry. Mike had something to do with Dhan’s capture.
Sir is inside and has a request, but Dhan won’t listen to it. So, instead, Sir takes out his wire and opens the doors to the closet. Lena is there, remembering the “secret entrance.” Sir isn’t going to work with Dhan, especially when it won’t take long to find out that Gabi was never attacked by Lena.
Gabi sharing that Sir had a rule of being on time meant late means Dhan rushes into the motel, and that leads to an attempt to arrest Lena. It doesn’t work, though, as Lena has a taser and is able to run away. It looks like the Found season 2 finale will involve tracking her down finally, but will everyone make it out alive?
The end of the episode does see Gabi go to the Rabbi to ask him a question. She admits to committing a sin, and it comes out that it’s a “sin of the father,” but the Rabbi points out that there are many words for sin, and one is “something that has gone astray.” For Gabi to atone, she needs to decide in her heart never to do it again and confess out-loud for all to hear her so that she can find peace. It’s exactly what Gabi needed to hear.
Another ending is Darryl coming over to tell Margaret that Jamie never showed. No, Jamie hasn’t run away. He’s been taken by Lena. Now the M&A Team is in a race against time to find him.
Found season 2 airs on Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC.
