As we get closer to the Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1 finale, we look out for any clues to tell who Quiche is. What does Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 10 tell us?
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 10.
The new episode brings more secrets and lies out, but at the same time, we get some shocking twists to the story. There is also hope for particular relationships despite knowing how it all plays out a month later.

Catherine needs to sell her childhood home in Grosse Pointe Garden Society
During a previous episode, Catherine learned that her parents are getting a divorce. This means the selling of their home, but it’s Catherine who has the bigger issue with this. After all, this was her childhood home, and much of the place is still as it was when she was just a child.
I’ll admit that I struggle to understand the connection to childhood homes. I didn’t really have that, as my parents moved around a couple of times from when I was young, and then rooms changed purpose due to the needs of the family still in the home after I moved out. Yet, I can understand that some people hold a connection to the past because of the sense of nostalgia.
After Catherine initially turns down offers, she eventually has to accept one. It seems perfect, until her parents realize that the person buying it is the daughter of a real estate development company. The house is going to be torn down and turned into condos.
It’s not the sell of the house that is the problem for Catherine in the end, though. As she looks at a photo from Christmas from when she was around nine, she sees the happy smiles on her parents’ faces. She wants to know if everything was a lie. This is such a normal question for adult children in divorce. It’s hard to accept that your parents, who have been together for 40 years, are ending their marriage. I love that we end up with this moment of two parents coming together for their daughter, even if it won’t change anything for the end of their marriage.

Alice gets a new clue about Molly in Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 10
Alice decides to get a new dog, Gail. Doug is immediately connected to this pup, and it’s clear that he wasn’t the one to kill Molly. However, Alice does get a new clue as to what happened to Molly when the series began.
When the landlord finds out that Alice and Doug have a new dog, Alice wants to figure out how that happened. She’s sure it’s Patty, who she managed to coerce into looking after the puppy with them as a way to get payback. Well, it probably was Patty, who made it clear to Alice that while there is a dog, there won’t be any grandchildren.
After Patty leaves, Alice sees a bullet in her jewelry box. Is it possible that Patty was the one to kill Molly? Her getting the high school in a zombie shooting video game certainly suggests that, but Alice isn’t sure if she’s going crazy. She does turn to Catherine, Birdie, and Brett to find out, and while they think it’s crazy, it’s a good crazy. With the gun and bullet, Catherine can give it all to Tucker, who can contact his old FBI friends to run tests. Will we get answers to this mystery before Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1 comes to an end?

Ford has now learned the truth in Grosse Pointe
Meanwhile, Ford finally has the truth. Understandably, he’s angry, but not at his adoptive mom, Missy, who shares with Birdie that Ford has got into college with a full scholarship. Instead, Ford is angry with Birdie, because she gave him up and then came back into his life. She never gave him any choice about this.
The argument comes to an abrupt end as Birdie collapses in the street. No, she’s not faking it, and tests at the hospital — where her ex-husband turns up because he’s still her emergency contact — confirm that she’s pregnant. We know the only person she’s been sleeping with has been Joel, but Joel thinks that she’d been hooking up with her ex-husband again.
Birdie isn’t telling anyone, although at the gala, Missy finds out because she hears Birdie throwing up and notes that Birdie poured her champagne in a plant pot. Ford doesn’t get to know, but in the present day timeline, he does confirm that Joel left Missy, so it’s understandable that Missy is angry at Birdie for everything that’s happened.

Brett and Melissa tag team to look after sick kids
When Brett calls Melissa to tell her that the kids are sick with fevers, Connor completely overreacts. Melissa decides to go and stay with Brett to help him take care of the kids. This goes as you would think, with the two of them remembering things from their past and catching feelings again.
In Brett’s defense, he never stopped feeling things for Melissa. It was Melissa who left Brett, and it’s not that surprising then that she’s the one who decides that she wants to stay and ends up kissing Brett. I guess I see why Connor is so insistent on moving, because he doesn’t trust Melissa with Brett — and why would he? He’s the other man! I have zero sympathy for Connor.
The end of the episode for this arc sees Brett meet up with the private investigator to learn that Connor is in deeper than expected in something. I guess we’ll need to find out what it is, but how is this connected to the future storyline?
We are still no closer to figuring out who Quiche is, but this episode doesn’t rule anyone out just yet. It is possible that it could be Missy still, but would the others back Birdie up for something that they’ve had no involvement in? It’s possible, but I’ve always envisioned Quiche as being someone connected to all four of them in some sort of way.
