We head back to the Quiche storyline in the post-gala storyline in Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 7, and we get confirmation of who Quiche isn’t. Meanwhile, it’s clear that nobody is very good at keeping a secret in this town.

Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 7.

When you’re having an affair, sneaking around is a must, right? Well, it turns out that everyone is useless at doing that. I’m surprised that Catherine, Alice, and Brett having found out that Birdie is sleeping with Joel, because it’s clear that others in the town are learning all about it!

Meanwhile, we learn that Tucker has his own secrets. It takes a call from the bank for Catherine to find out that her husband isn’t being honest with her. Is that an affair as well?

Catherine learns about Tucker’s secrets in Grosse Pointe Garden Society

When we spoke with Jocko Sims about Tucker in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, he shared that Tucker has secrets. He’s up to something, and now we find out what that is. When Catherine gets a call from the bank about potential fraud charges on a joint credit card, she finds out that Tucker isn’t overseas as he said he was.

She ends up tracking him with the tracker on his keys to a bar, where he finally has to admit what’s been going on. He hasn’t been going overseas at all. He’s being going to casinos, as it turns out that he’s in a lot of debt. The family cannot continue with this lifestyle, and now it’s time for Catherine to figure out a way back into the work life.

Rather than work for another company, she decides to become a self-employed realtor. What better way to get her first clients than to poach the people she worked with in the past. She has all their contact information, and one person says that she is interested in selling. Great!

The problem is that Catherine needs to compete with the firm that she walked out on last time. While she has a great sales pitch, his larger firm ends up capturing the client’s attention. That is until Catherine shows how well she knows the neighborhood. Sometimes, being a mom is everything, because you know which other children live in places and you know the schools. The house is perfect for a family, so Catherine is getting the gig after all.

Birdie and Joel’s affair is exposed in Grosse Pointe

Birdie and Joel are continuing their affair. They’re not doing a great job of keeping it quiet, though, as Olga walks in on the two of them. She is returning Joel’s phone, which must have fallen out while the two were stripping downstairs.

Of course, this is Olga. As much as she doesn’t necessarily condone Birdie’s lifestyle, she’s there to look out for Birdie as well as look after the house. There’s clearly a much deeper element to this relationship, and at the end, Olga makes it clear to Joel that there will be trouble if he hurts Birdie.

He probably doesn’t need to be fearful of Olga, though. It’s his wife that he needs to be wary of. Misty knows about the affair. So, why are the two still going at it in the post-gala storyline? Do they break it off and reignite it, or is Misty Quiche?

Brett and Alice make up thanks to Catherine and Birdie

All this time, Alice really thought that she was taking Brett for granted. It takes Birdie and Catherine to point out Brett’s feelings for Alice to her. This allows the two of them to make up a little.

Alice should have probably set some boundaries for this, but at least it’s going to be less awkward for Birdie and Catherine while at the garden society. It also brings an end to the relationship that wasn’t working out. Brett was awful while on the juice cleanse. To be honest, though, a relationship like that could have worked out as long as they both respected each other’s dietary preferences. It is just clearly a deal breaker for the yoga teacher.

It just opens problems for Doug and Alice now, though. It’s not helping that Alice is keeping the secret of who is actually buying Doug’s paintings. When she buys one from the coffee shop, it’s sure to eventually come up. Doug has to find it, right?

To be honest, this is the most boring storyline out of the lot of them. It’s a very stereotypical storyline, and I’m more intrigued about Catherine and Tucker as their lack of trust with each other is there.

Tucker finds a way to protect his wife in the post-gala storyline

We quickly find out at the start of the episode that Tucker is not Quiche. He is at home at the beginning of Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 7, and he wants to know where Catherine has been. She’s still in her dress, and she doesn’t look drunk, leading to her story about a dance party at Birdie’s not checking out.

Catherine decides that she needs to be honest with Tucker. I love how both Catherine and Birdie have turned to someone for help, and both of them have been able to step in to protect the people they love/are interested in. Tucker doesn’t judge Catherine for her murderous antics, and I’m getting the sense that someone seemed to deserve it or just has no connection to these families.

It’s the right thing to do for Catherine, as the police turn up at the door with Catherine’s bracelet in an evidence bag. The gas station attendant tried to sell it, and the jeweler turned it in. This led to the gas station attendant sharing his story, which does seem to be a little outlandish. Only, we know that it’s all true.

Tucker walks into the police station and suggests that they run the CCTV footage. I wish Catherine stood back and allowed Tucker to handle it. Why would he want his wife to go to jail for something? That wouldn’t make sense. The fact that he owns a security company makes it clear that he knew the cops wouldn’t find anything.

Sure enough, the CCTV footage has been tampered with. Nobody in the station seems to be smart enough to realize that, so they decide that Catherine has done nothing wrong, and the gas station attendant is lying. Is this really going to hold up when there’s a trial against him?  That will depend on how good Tucker’s guy is, and whether it can be traced back to the firm. Tucker isn’t a dumb man, and I get the sense that this isn’t the first time something like this has been done.

Like with Birdie, Catherine has told the right person to help her get away with murder. Who will Alice and Brett be able to turn to? We could see that if it all comes down to it, Birdie and Catherine will team up against Brett and Alice and send them down.

Oh, but to top it all off, we learn who definitely can't be Quiche at the very end of the episode. It turns out that Gary is still alive.
