Fall TV is here, and FOX’s first crime drama to arrive is Murder in a Small Town. The second season is set to bring more murder, more drama, and more romance.
The Murder in a Small Town season 2 premiere is set to air tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 8/7c on FOX. This is going to kick off Tuesday nights for the foreseeable, and it continues to tell the story of Karl Alberg, who simply wanted to move to a small town for a quieter pace of life.
Well, he didn’t get that, as small towns have a lot of secrets. They also seem to have a lot of murder, although season 2 is set to bring an arc that explains why people remain in these murderous spots.
How to watch Murder in a Small Town season 2 live
The episodes will air on FOX on Tuesdays at 8/7c. Each week will have a new episode, and we’re excited to see how the story will unfold.
The best way to watch live is on the FOX network on your TV. However, you can opt to watch online such as via FOX’s website or with something like Fubo TV or Sling TV. We are no longer beholden to cable providers.
Don’t worry if you happen to miss an episode live, though. All episodes drop on Hulu the day after they air, so that will be the place to turn to catch up.
What to expect in Murder in a Small Town season 2
The premiere is set to introduce us to a new problem for Karl and Cassandra to be together. Cassandra made it clear at the end of season 1 that she wanted to run for the city council. That’s exactly what she’s done, and she will get that last spot on the council.
The problem is the mayor isn’t too happy about her relationship with Karl. Marcia Gay Harden joins Murder in a Small Town season 2 as Mayor Holman, and she has an offer for Karl that could threaten things with Cassandra.
That offer is also sure to set up things to explain why murders can keep happening without people wanting to get out of the small town for their own safety. She’s expanding Karl’s jurisdiction because he’s worked so well so far, and that could mean more murders to solve, leaving less time for Cassandra.
We’ll also get some more family drama for Karl in Murder in a Small Town season 2, as his daughter Holly is back. There’s more backstory with Karl’s mom and dad, which comes up at an auction.
