The time has come for a new Sherlock Holmes mystery to unfold. This one involves a woman who may or may not be his daughter. You won’t want to miss the Sherlock & Daughter series premiere.
This new series on The CW is taking us back to the original time period for Sherlock Holmes. After all, there have certainly been plenty of modern day versions of the tale, but the original fictional character was from the 19th century. This one brings us a twist with someone else working with him rather than John Watson. Sherlock Holmes has a daughter.

How to watch the Sherlock & Daughter series premiere
The series will air on Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW. This was the timeslot taken by Good Cop/Bad Cop for the last eight weeks, and now the new CW series will get a shot in it.

What to expect in Sherlock & Daughter
The new series follows Blu Hunt’s Amelia, who comes to London, England in search for the man her mother told her was her father, Sherlock Holmes. Naturally Holmes (David Thewlis) does not believe her, and it’s not like he can quickly get a DNA test in this time period. He’ll need to use other detective measures to find out if Amelia has the right information.
This mystery is close to home for Amelia, though. She’s come to England from America to uncover the mystery of her mother’s murder. Meanwhile, Sherlock has a mystery that he is struggling to investigate without risking the lives of those closest to him. The two end up investigating together, and it turns out there may be a global conspiracy.
One thing Amelia is determined to do is learn from Sherlock, even if he doesn’t turn out to be her dad. Sherlock doesn’t think she is able to follow his rules, and I guess the season will show us how their different attitudes and backgrounds clash but can also work together to solve a mystery that somehow involves James Moriarty.
