Jennifer Esposito will return in Blue Bloods season 14B (but will it be for the series finale?)

Blue Bloods season 14A was not the last we saw of Jackie. Jennifer Esposito will return in the final episodes, and here's what we know.

“Dropping Bombs” – Danny and Baez join forces with Danny’s old partner, Jackie Curatola (Jennifer Esposito), when a serial killer reappears. Also, Eddie faces backlash whens she tries to help a woman who accuses a sergeant of rape; Jamie clashes with his nephew, Joe Hill (Will Hochman), when Joe interferes with Jamie’s undercover operation; and Frank is blindsided when Mayor Chase publicly suggests bringing back a Commission of Police, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Feb. 23 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on

With Blue Bloods coming to an end, there are a few faces we want to see. Okay, we don’t actually want Blue Bloods to end, but it doesn’t look like CBS is changing its mind about that. So, we need to focus on wishes.

One of the wishes is for Jackie Curatola to return for at least an episode. Yes, we got Jennifer Esposito back during the first half of the final season, but we need her back again. There is some great news.

Jennifer Esposito will be in one episode of Blue Bloods season 14B

Showrunner Kevin Wade confirmed the great news about Esposito’s character with TVLine. We will get to see Jackie back for one episode in the final run of episodes.

The last time we saw her, she came in to help with a serial killer case. It’s always great to see Danny get to work with his former partner again. As great as Danny and Baez are together, there was just something special about Danny and Jackie. I think that’s just because they were the original duo on the series.

The bad news is that Esposito won’t be around for the series finale. The show is keeping the details of that quiet, but it’s likely to be very family orientated. The show has had time to wrap up the storylines, and we’ll hopefully get some sort of closure for the characters.

Blue Bloods will end in 2024

There isn’t long left for Blue Bloods season 14B to premiere. CBS’s premieres kick off this week, and we’ll get the Reagans back on Friday, Oct. 18. With just eight episodes left, it does come with some bad news. The series finale is going to air in 2024.

We’re not ready for this. The cast isn’t ready for this. We’re all just holding out hope on this Blue Bloods spin-off potentially in the works.

Blue Bloods season 14B premieres on Friday, Oct. 18 at 10/9c on CBS.
