It was certainly strange not to see Law & Order: Organized Crime close out Thursday nights with the other two Law & Order shows. However, that’s what happened in the 2024–2025 season, as the series has made its move to Peacock.
We don’t have to wait much longer for Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5 to air now. Peacock has set the date, and we’re certainly going to have a busy TV schedule in April across broadcast networks and streamers!
Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5 premieres in April 2025
Get Thursday, April 17 in your diary. Peacock is opting to keep the series on the same night that we’re used to. Of course, episode drop in the morning, but you can watch whenever you want, and if that means making your own Law & Order Thursday, I’d say go for it—just don’t forget about the amazing Found!
There will be two episodes dropping on April 17. After that, one episode will come out each week, and there will be 10 episodes in total. Peacock doesn’t do breaks in the schedule, so that means we’ll get the season 5 finale on Thursday, June 12.
Check out the trailer for Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5
While we still have just short of two months before the season premieres, Peacock has a trailer for us. It puts Stabler in danger, as we can see a truck barreling toward him as he sits in a car.
The teaser doesn’t exactly tell us a lot, with the focus being on the series moving to a new platform. The same team is around to help Elliot Stabler bring the one thing he has always wanted to bring: Justice. There will also be some new faces, with people from Stabler’s past coming back up.
The season will follow a crime family intent on repaying Stabler for the injury he did them in Rome. Stabler will need to put everything on the line to protect innocent people and his own family. Get ready for high-tech domestic terrorism and cross-border smuggling.
We’re sure to see this season as much darker and grittier. The move to Peacock gets rid of the TV-14 age rating cap, which is something that has worked well for Criminal Minds with its move to Paramount+.
Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5 will premiere on Peacock on Thursday, April 17.
