All Samantha Maroun has wanted in Law & Order is justice for her sister’s murder. She may get that in the Law & Order season 24 finale, but it’s not going to be all that easy. We have an exclusive sneak peek of the episode, and it’s clear that there are going to be setbacks.

The question is whether Maroun will risk her job and her freedom to get justice. Could she end up planting something that helps with the case, but will eventually be thrown out when she’s caught doing it? The sneak peek shows her keeping calm for now, but we know Maroun well enough to know that she can connect to cases personally, and this one is definitely personal.

Evidence is thrown out in the Law & Order season 24 finale

We have a short sneak peek of the Law & Order season 24 finale, showing us that some of the evidence is going to be thrown out. It’s the blood and DNA evidence, that Price needs to be able to get a conviction. Without the blood and DNA, it doesn’t even look like they have a case, and that means everything that connects to Maroun’s sister’s case is also likely to be thrown out.

Price and Baxter aren’t completely despondent after this news. They know that they need to find a way to place the suspect at the crime scene. Once they have that, it’s going to be much easier to build a case around it. They’re sure to turn back to the cops to get do that, which means Riley and Shaw are sure to work overtime on the case.

What about Maroun, though? She is far calmer than you would expect as she learns that the evidence is being thrown out of the case. Price suggests an appeal, but that’s going to take time. Maroun shares that she is going to her office, but is that where she’s really going? Does she have another trick up her sleeve?

Take a look at the sneak peek for the Law & Order season 24 finale:

What to expect in the Law & Order season 24 finale

The case involves the murder of a model, and Shaw and Riley believe that this was a case of obsession turned into violence. The sysnopsis tells us that Maroun is putting pressure on herself to place the suspect at the scene of the crime, but this evidence may not end up holding up in court. Is that the evidence from the sneak peek, or is there something else that Maroun is able to find?

Plus, is Maroun too close to this? Could it end up being a conflict of interest considering this may also be linked to her sister’s murder? While we know we have Law & Order season 25 to help continue this storyline, it would be amazing to see Maroun finally get justice and closure.

Law & Order is available to stream on Peacock.
