There are some cases that will always stick with you as a cop. They’re often cases that go unsolved, and Lieutenant Jessica Brady has a few of them. One is going to come up in the Law & Order/SVU crossover event, and we have a sneak peek of how she takes in the killer’s M.O.
This crossover event will see both the flagship and the SVU teams working together. At first, the case sounds like a homicide, but something pulls Olivia Benson in on the case, and she sends Kate Silva over to Brady to work the case. Of course, thanks to the promo for the crossover, we know exactly why.
Recognizing the M.O. in Law & Order
As Silva goes through the way the victim was found, Brady thinks back to a case from the past. Everything about this new case sounds familiar, and her wording of “officially” never catching the killer certainly catches the attention of Silva and Riley.
Don’t worry; Brady didn’t pin the murder on someone else. At least, it doesn’t sound like it based on the explanation. It’s just that while they had an idea of who had done a past killing, that person had fled the country and there was no way to get him.

What to expect in the Law & Order crossover event
This two-hour crossover event is going to take us back to a past SVU storyline. This is why Benson wants to be part of the case. She knew the victim, saving this victim as a child. The child grew up to become part of the force, and now she has lost her life. Benson will do whatever it takes to get justice.
Brady is sure to understand those feelings, especially as this is a killer who has struck before. It becomes a personal case for the two of them, and with these two women fighting for justice, we’re sure the two teams will get to the bottom of it.
Law & Order and SVU will air tonight, Thursday, April 17 starting at 8/7c on NBC. Catch up on Peacock.
