We’re going to see a different team up in Matlock season 1, episode 10. It’s time for Matty and Sarah to work together.
We don’t see enough of Matty and Sarah working together. Sarah could learn a lot about life in general from Matty, and there have been times when she’s shown she wants to learn. However, things are tricky, as Matty is there under false pretences.
Things are getting tricky for Matty right now. She is too close to Olympia at this point. Matty is losing sight on what she is there to do.
Matty and Sarah visit a nursing home in Matlock season 1, episode 10
The new episode will see the firm take on a case that involves a wrongful death. This is against a nursing home, so the best way to get to the bottom of it is for Matty to pretend to be looking for an assisted living center. Of course, she needs someone who can help her do the hunt.
Olympia is way too busy to play the dutiful daughter-in-law to help with the search. So, why not have Sarah pretend to be Matty’s granddaughter? She is young enough to play the role, and it would make sense that a granddaughter would want to make sure her grandmother is looked after. Plus, Sarah’s role in the firm is like Matty’s. She’s there to collect information and help support the case.
Matty will need to continue to work her own case. She doesn’t want to believe that Olympia is the one who signed the document that ultimately led to Ellie’s death. The problem is Matty is looking at Olympia (and Julian) with rose-tinted glasses. She’s judging them based on the people they are today, and not who they were when they were younger. We’ve all made stupid mistakes in the past in the hope of proving ourselves. Could Olympia have signed the document and lived with the regret of that?
