The tensions between Olympia and Matty continue in Matlock season 2 episode 5. It’s all about trust — or lack of it.

During Matlock season 2 episode 4, Olympia realized that Julian had information that Matty leaked everything and was communicating with Mrs. B. This tells him that she can’t be trusted, and he needs Olympia to see that too. The problem is, Olympia wants to bring down Senior.

There’s a lot at stake and in play during the new episode. You will not want to miss a beat.

What time is Matlock season 2 episode 5 on CBS?

The good news is that CBS is keeping Matlock in its current time slot for the time being. Matlock season 2 episode 5 will air on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Why “fix” something that isn’t broken?

You can watch CBS in a few ways. One of those is with your regular cable, which there are still people out there with. You can also opt for directly on the CBS website, or with YouTube TV, Fubo TV, or something similar.

Paramount+ also offers some live viewing options, but this is also great to have if you are busy on Thursday nights. The new episode of Matlock will drop on Friday, Nov. 7 at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Paramount+.

What to expect in Matlock season 2 episode 5

The new episode will focus on Julian. Well, on Olympia and Matty trying to protect themselves from Julian. While they can’t really trust each other, they need to see that Julian is a bigger threat. He could choose Senior, sharing everything that Olympia and Matty have done so far against him. After all, he knows that they want to take down Senior, and while part of him does too, he also wants his dad’s approval.

Matty and Olympia race to protect each other from Julian's suspicions as they also work on the resentencing case of a teenager sentenced as an adult to life.

Julian is a tricky character to get behind. He’s made it clear that he values himself more than anything else, and he will do unethical things to get approval from his dad. Just how much will he continue to do such a thing?

At the same time, Matty and Olympia have an interesting resentencing case. They need to work with a teenager who was tried as an adult and sentenced to life in prison. This would suggest that the crime is grievous in nature; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been tried as an adult. Is this something that they should be working on getting changed, or does the teen deserve life in prison for his crimes?

Matlock airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS.
