When FOX announced that Memory of a Killer would premiere so late in January, there were some concerns. It was close to the Winter Olympics, so would that mean just a handful of episodes and then a break?

The Winter Olympics are now officially here, and we’re seeing a lot of shows head off on breaks. ABC has just two crime dramas airing throughout this break, while NBC and CBS have everything preempted. So, what about FOX? Well, there’s some excellent news.

Memory of a Killer will air throughout the Winter Olympics

FOX isn’t too worried about the effect of the Winter Olympics, and it’s a great thing for fans. Consistency is important when it comes to growing viewership, so opting to keep Memory of a Killer will help with that.

There won’t be a break in the schedule, with Memory of a Killer season 1 episode 4 set to air on Monday, Feb. 9. At the time of writing this, we don’t have a look at the schedule ahead, but we are expecting to see the show continue on Mondays throughout.

This is great news for the series, which currently sits at the top of the scripted programming in terms of viewership. However, those numbers are inflated due to the special premiere. The viewership did drop considerably by the second episode, and FOX will need consistency for the hitman drama to succeed.

Is it a good idea to go up against the Winter Olympics, though? This is debatable, but there are certainly plenty of people looking for something to watch instead of the Games.

What to expect on Memory of a Killer season 1 episode 4

The new episode will see Angelo continue his search for “The Ferryman.” This is the man after his daughter, and he will do whatever it takes to find and kill the person. He is not leaving any stone unturned, and he doesn’t mind torturing and killing to get answers.

However, his memory is continuing to fail, and it looks like it’s rapid. He’s losing track of time, making it much harder for him to keep his two lives separate. And they are currently completely separate. Not only does his daughter not know about his hitman life, but his handler has no idea about his family!

Things are going to get harder as the FBI moves in. They know someone professional has carried out the kill, and it’s only a matter of time before they suspect Angelo.

Memory of a Killer airs on Mondays at 9/8c on FOX.
