After almost 18 months, we have some exciting news for fellow My Life Is Murder fans. The fifth season premieres on Acorn TV on Monday, Jan. 5.

The fifth season has already aired in Australia and New Zealand (which isn’t all that surprising considering that’s where it has or does film, depending on the season) and now it’s time for us to see what Alexa Crowe is up to next.

What to expect on the My Life Is Murder season 5 premiere
The very first episode will take Alexa Crowe into the world of competitive cheerleading. A fitness influencer suddenly dies while live streaming, and you know that Alexa can’t help but get involved in a mystery. Her tech whiz bestie Madison is right by her side with that one.
It turns out that the killer may be much closer to the cheer squad than initially believed. Was someone else the real target? Only time will tell as Alexa delves into the world of elite cheerleading.
The entire season will bring standalone cases for Alexa to solve, as usual. This season is going to be a big one when it comes to personal storylines, though, as a potential “one that got away” will come into the season at a later date. Also, can Alexa ever escape crime? It turns out probably not as it follows her on vacation!
