It’s been a long wait, but we know that the return of My Life Is Murder is always worth it. The My Life Is Murder season 5 premiere is now finally available to stream on Acorn TV, and there are seven more episodes to come.
Alexa Crowe is back in the middle of the mysteries. Each episode gives us a new case for her and Madison to solve, and it looks like she is getting a little too close in some of them! If she’s not careful, she could find herself as the next victim, but then, it wouldn’t be the first time that’s almost happened.

My Life Is Murder season 5 release schedule
Like most Acorn TV Original shows, My Life Is Murder season 5 is released weekly. New episodes will come out on Mondays, so the next new episode is on Monday, Jan. 12. The episodes tend to drop at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT, so you’ll be able to stay up and watch or tune in later in the day. It’s completely up to you!

With eight episodes, the My Life Is Murder season 5 finale will air on Monday, Feb. 23. It’s going to be a two-part finale, with the first part airing the week after. I’d highly recommend watching that first part again before going into the finale.
What to expect on My Life Is Murder season 5
The fifth season will continue to see Alexa and Madison investigate various new cases. Some of them Alexa and Madison come across themselves, but in many of the cases, it’s Detective Harry who pulls them in. Yes, Harry is back, and he’s going to remain an ally to Alexa as they figure out who the murderers are.
Reuben is also back as the lovable café owner, and we’ll get to see more of Will, Alexa’s brother. It turns out that he is pretty handy when it comes to the job, but he does have a habit of getting himself into trouble. Oh, and don’t worry, Chowder will be around causing mischief, because we can’t go a season of My Life Is Murder without the cantankerous cat.
There are some exciting guest stars to look forward to, including Craig Parker to reunite Lucy Lawless with her Xena: Warrior Princess and Spartacus screen partner. He happens to play her former police partner, Jesse, who may also be “the one who got away.” How does he come into her life again? Well, there’s a vacation involved and likely a murder.
Other guest stars include Dean O’Gorman, Thys Darby, Nicole Whippy, and Marta Dusseldorp. While he’s not mentioned in the press release, I swear that’s Graham McTavish in the promo!
