If you ever wanted a show to cross over with Christine, you probably didn’t expect it to be NCIS. Well, there’s a sort-of crossover coming in NCIS season 22, episode 8.

Okay, to be fair, Christine is about a possessed car. The chances of a TV show rooted in real life ever bringing us a car that’s possessed is highly slim. It was Supernatural that brought us something like that. Instead, we’re getting a take that brings technology into it.

The team will need to figure out a case that involves a car that is driving all by itself. That’s not all too out of the ordinary when you consider the way technology is going in the world.

A hacked car in NCIS season 22, episode 8

Instead of a possessed car, the team will need to get to the bottom of a car that has been hacked. This would suggest it’s some sort of electric vehicle, like a Tesla. Whoever has hacked the car is able to control it, and it looks like they’re committing murder with it.

Surely McGee can help to get to the bottom of this one. He’s the computer whizz, so he’s sure to be able to get into the details of the hacking. The problem is that he likely needs the car so that he can get into the onboard computer and figure out what’s actually going on there.

I don’t think the team should be as surprised as they seem to be in the promo for the episode, though. It’s like they’ve not heard of technology that makes it possible for computers to drive the cars.

Meanwhile, Parker will continue with his visions of Lily. I’m sure this is something that will go on for the next couple of episodes with some sort of revelation in the winter finale, which will air on Monday, Dec. 18.

Check out the promo and synopsis for NCIS season 22, episode 8:

"NCIS investigates a murder related to a car that begins driving on its own. Also, Parker is still seeing visions of Lily."

NCIS airs on Mondays at 9/8c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
