As we inch closer to the new season of our favorite TV shows, we just want a few teases to get ready for storylines. NCIS Season 22 is set to deliver some answers to burning questions about Lily, seen at the end of the 21st season.

In the NCIS Season 21 finale, Parker started to hallucinate a little girl called Lily while he was injured. We got to see a flashback, where a young Parker was running around a ship with this young Lily, but he was stopped from playing by his mother.

Of course, fans want to know more. While some fans suspect that Lily may be a younger sister, that’s unlikely to be the case based on the recent information about her.

Parker doesn’t remember Lily in NCIS

According to showrunner Steven D. Binder, there are things from Parker’s past that he isn’t aware of. He doesn’t really know who this Lily girl is, and he’ll get to learn that with the audience in NCIS Season 21.

"It’s not entirely clear to him who this girl [seen in flashback/hallucination] was. There’s something in his past that even he’s not aware of that’s bubbling to the surface."

This suggests that something traumatic happened. We all know that the brain will act to protect ourselves. There are things from our pasts that we can end up forgetting about as they are too traumatic. It is possible that both Parker and Lily were involved in an incident. To protect himself, his brain wiped Lily out of existence, and it suggests that something bad happened to her.

Parker doesn’t say a lot about his past, but we know he was in juvie when he was younger. Could this have happened due to a brush with death? Was it a way to lash out against an overbearing mother? After all, his mom certainly seemed to be stuck in her ways when speaking to a young Parker on the ship.

This is likely to take a few episodes over the course of the season. It will be interesting to see how Parker reacts after his near-death experience in the NCIS Season 21 finale.
