The mustachioed Hercule Poirot, you know. St. Mary Mead’s most famous spinster, Jane Marple, is internationally adored. But how well are you familiar with Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent? Well get ready because BAFTA Rising Star Award winner Mia McKenna-Bruce will lead a star-studded cast in the upcoming Netflix limited series, Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials.
The three-part mystery series was written by producer and creator Chris Chibnall (Doctor Who, Broadchurch). Executive producer Suzanne Mackie recently said in a statement that she was excited about bringing the series to life and “introducing a new generation of iconic Christie characters to the screen.”

What can Agatha Christie fans expect to see in Seven Dials?
The official logline from Netflix reads:
England. 1925. At a lavish country house party, a practical joke appears to have gone horribly, murderously wrong. It will be up to the unlikeliest of sleuths — the fizzingly inquisitive Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent (Bruce) — to unravel a chilling plot that will change her life, cracking wide open the country house mystery.
Christie’s great-grandson, James Prichard, who executive produces through Agatha Christie Limited, says:
“Bundle Brent is one of my great-grandmother’s raft of interesting, humorous, and sharp young female characters. To see her brought to life through the words of Chris Chibnall and this production with Orchid Pictures and Netflix is a dream come true. I think viewers will love this world that we have created and hope for more.”
Starring alongside McKenna-Bruce are Helena Bonham Carter (A Room with a View, Dark Shadows) as Lady Caterham, Martin Freeman (Sherlock, Black Panther) as Battle, Ed Bluemel (Killing Eve, Sex Education) as Jimmy Thesiger, Corey Mylchreest (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) as Gerry Wade and Nabhaan Rizwan (Film Club, Dope Girls) as Ronnie Devereaux.
The character of “Bundle” was first introduced in an earlier Christie novel, The Secret of Chimneys, where the young socialite is described as an “it girl,” who craves adventure and thrills which were unconventional for ladies of her time.

More may be in store
The series is the first to go into production under The Crown executive producer Suzanne Mackie’s Orchid Pictures banner, which she founded in 2020 with the goal of adapting more stories written by new and established award-winning authors for film production. While it is not clear whether Mackie will use more of Christie’s storytelling, that particular world may be her oyster especially with Prichard managing the literary and media rights to his great-grandmother’s work.
There would be a number of unsung sleuths to choose from including husband and wife team Tommy and Tuppence Beresford (who will be getting a reboot on Britbox). Mr. Satterthwaite, an observer of life with a good judgement of personalities, is a recurring character in Christie’s The Mysterious Mr. Quin series. Renisenb is the protagonist in Christie's Death Comes as the End. And of course, there is also crime novelist Ariadne Oliver who sometimes assists Hercule Poirot in his puzzling cases. The possibilities are limitless.
Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials debuts on Jan. 15, 2026, on Netflix.
