What could have been next for Nina if FBI: Most Wanted season 7 happened?

Nina Chase has a chance to show up again in the FBI universe, even with the FBI: Most Wanted season 6 ending.
“The Circle Game” - The Fugitive Task Force hunts down a rogue government operative group that is planning a domestic terror attack. Also, the team prepares for big changes, on the series finale of FBI: MOST WANTED, Tuesday, May 20 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs). Out of all the members of the Fugitive Task Force, Nina Chase is the one who could return in the FBI universe easily enough. This gives us a chance to catch up with how the rest of the team is doing, while also seeing Nina continue her work as an FBI agent. However, we can’t help but wonder what could have been had FBI: Most Wanted season 7 happened.

The series was canceled with time to craft an ending. This meant that each of the characters got some closure, especially Nina, who got the apology from her dad that she always wanted and needed. She is still with the Fugitive Task Force, and it doesn’t look like that is going to change after FBI: Most Wanted.

White Buffalo
“White Buffalo” – After a simple act of defiance by a couple of young climate activists goes south, the Fugitive Task Force works to hunt them down before their plans take a devastating turn. Meanwhile, Nina and Scola face family drama when they host her father and sister after they come to town, on FBI: MOST WANTED, Tuesday, Oct. 29 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for

Nina would continue her job protecting people in FBI: Most Wanted season 7

There’s no doubt that we would have seen Nina continuing her work as an FBI agent. This is her calling, and there’s nothing to hold her back. She and Scola have their agreement to make their jobs work with a child at home, and this allows them both of have fulfilling careers.

We’d have likely seen more of this throughout the series. There was plenty of room to develop her skills as an agent, and it would have been interesting to see how things could have changed with Barnes in charge. Barnes and Nina got along well, especially bonding over motherhood, but that dynamic could have shifted a little with Barnes taking over as leader.

Of course, there would also be a new member of the team, and that could have led to some dynamic shifts. Nina isn’t always easy to get along with, as she speaks out quickly if she doesn’t like something.

Aquarium Drinker
“Aquarium Drinker” – When a detective is brutally murdered, the Fugitive Task Force investigates a string of gruesome killings. Meanwhile, Remy and Abby’s (Susan Misner) relationship grows stronger, on the sixth season premiere of FBI: MOST WANTED, Tuesday, Oct. 15 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).

More of Nina and Scola at home in FBI: Most Wanted

When it comes to personal lives, we got to see a lot of Nina and Scola together. It was excellent to see how the two manage their time together, with their son, and at work. They have a balance that many couples strive to have.

We did get to see a little bit of closure for Scola when it came to his brother in the flagship FBI series. Nina was there to support him in any way that he needed, and we’d likely see more of that if FBI: Most Wanted season 7 happened. At least there is a chance of this with the flagship FBI still on the air.

FBI: Most Wanted is available to stream on Paramount+.
