The beginning of Will Trent season 4 brought us plenty of answers about the characters we worried about. Ormewood and Amanda are both alive, and they’ve spent the first two episodes proving that they can still do their jobs.
One character we haven’t spotted yet is Nico, who has been loyal to Betty (and sometimes Will, but mostly Betty) from the beginning of the series. Yet, it’s only in the promo for Will Trent season 4 episode 3 that we get to see a hint that Nico will be back.
Nico will help with a case on Will Trent season 4 episode 3
One thing that we were promised going into the new season was that there would be more Nico, and not just as Betty’s best friend. They’re going to get more involved in the show, as we started to see a step up in action throughout the third season. Sure enough, we’ll get to see that on Will Trent season 4 episode 3.
When a model is murdered, Will and Faith dive into a twisted art-world conspiracy, aided by Ava, his former flame; Betty's instincts turn a routine neighborhood check for Ormewood, Angie and Nico into a critical lead on a dangerous case.
Not only was Nico briefly spotted in the promo for the episode, but they’re also included in the synopsis for it. Nico will join with Ormewood and Angie as they head out on a mission. It’s likely because Nico is looking after Betty that leads ot them getting involve din this case, as Betty’s instincts turn a routine neighborhood check into a critical lead on a dangerous case. Of course, Nico will be ordered to stay back and not get too involved, but like that’s going to happen!

The twisted world of art
Meanwhile, Will and Faith have a case of their own. They’re pulled into the twisted world of art after the murder of a model. That model’s former flame, Ava, is going to help the two GBI agents get to the bottom of it, but what led to the murder and why? Was it all a matter of art, or was this model about to stumble onto something?
The episode comes off the back of a major two-parter Will Trent season 4 premiere. Will and James found themselves hostages during the second hour, and it ended in death. James was shot in the chest, and Will stayed with him until he died. That’s sure to lead to some questions and anger, as Will still had a lot of resentment for this man. Hopefully, Caleb’s presence will be able to help ease things off for Will.
Will Trent season 4 airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC.
