We look forward to the many guest stars on The Hunting Party, often giving actors we know as good characters get a chance to play something downright evil. That’s certainly going to continue to be the case on The Hunting Party season 2, but not all guest stars are the bad guys.
Niecy Nash-Betts will guest star on The Hunting Party season 2 episode 2, and the promo makes it clear whether she will be friend or foe. While she can play some excellent questionable characters, she also plays a formidable good guy, and we’re ready to see her working with Bex and the team.

Niecy Nash-Betts takes on the role of a detective on The Hunting Party season 2 episode 2
The promo and synopsis make it clear that Nash-Betts will play a friend on the new episode. She’s a detective who worked on a case in the past, and that case is about to come back to haunt her. Adrian Gallo was a dangerous serial killer she helped to put away, and he was in The Pit and managed to escape it during the explosion.
The team must hunt down Adrian Gallo, a serial killer who preserved his victims in acrylic resin; with such a complicated and dangerous escapee on the loose, Bex works alongside a detective from Adrian's past.
Now he’s out, and it looks like he’s on a mission for revenge. Melissa Roxburgh's Bex turns to Nash-Betts’ Detective Erica Burke to figure out where Adrian would go and how to take him down a second time. After all, Bex has realized that these serial killers are no longer as predictable as they once were due to the “treatments” they’ve received while in The Pit.
Who is Adrian Gallo on The Hunting Party?
We’ll see another twisted serial killer on The Hunting Party season 2 episode 2. The synopsis tells us that he would preserve his victims in acrylic resin, which is why the victim at the start of the promo isn’t able to move. Not only would he preserve them, it looks like he uses the resin to kill them, as we see him pouring something over the top of the victim, which I would guess is more resin.
This serial killer isn’t just dangerous, but he’s complicated. And do I get a sense that he’s blind based on the glasses that he’s wearing? Is it possible that part of his “treatment” was to lose his sight so that he couldn’t look at his preserved victims anymore?
The Hunting Party season 2 has returned to true form, even if it is without a particular character we all loved to sometimes hate but also just enjoy watching throughout the first season. There is hope for this second season, as long as the viewership remains with the new timeslot.
The Hunting Party season 2 airs on Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC and streams the following day on Peacock.
