We have some bad news when it comes to more episodes of Accused. The series is not on tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 10.
If you remember last week, there were two episodes of the crime drama. These were the last two episodes of the second season. This week, FOX will have new episodes of the holiday specials of LEGO Masters.
Accused season 2 has come to an end
This isn’t just a midseason finale like many other shows right now. Accused has brought its second season to an end. Sadly, the season was much shorter than the first season, coming in at just more than half the length.
It didn’t have the best episodes, either. There were certainly some important ones that stand out, such as “Val’s Story” and “Justin’s Story.” However, other episodes were just weird or didn’t quite hit the right marks, including the finale “Megan’s Story.”
Will there be a third season of Accused?
Of course, with the end of one season, the eyes are on the future of the series. What are the chances of there being more episodes of this series? Could we see FOX renew Accused for season 3?
FOX hasn’t said yes or not at the time of writing this. That is good news at the moment, but this is a series that I’m concerned about. The linear ratings have been low, and we’ve seen a huge drop from the first season.
According to TV Series Finale, the average linear ratings for Accused season 2 dropped 64% in the demo and 31% in the total audience compared to the first season. That’s a dangerous drop, and it shows that taking the extra year to come back with new episodes wasn’t a good thing. It will be a concern for FOX, especially as the series is the lowest rated linear show in the demo and the second lowest in the total audience, behind Bob’s Burgers, which has a strong demo.
With this in mind, I think we need to be prepared for cancellation.
Accused is available to stream on Hulu.
