The NBC schedule is changing up again, and there is some bad news for The Hunting Party fans tonight, Monday, April 14. There isn’t going to be a new episode of the series tonight.
There’s no doubt that we need a new episode. The previous episode left us with a major cliffhanger, after tracking down a killer who was not the person she was before she went into The Pit. However, there’s a chance that we won’t get the answers to the questions that we need!
Why is The Hunting Party not on tonight, Monday, April 14?
In some bad news, The Hunting Party has come to an end for a season. The previous episode was the season 1 finale — and we’re hoping that it won’t double as the series finale. NBC is still to make a decision about the future of the series.
That means we don’t know when the series will return. We don’t even know if it will return. This is one of those shows that could go either way. It sits pretty much in the middle of shows on NBC in the linear ratings, so I think it’s going to come down to the cost and the streaming numbers to see if this will be renewed or not. In some good news, there aren’t any drama pilots to find room for in the schedule, so this does increase the chances of The Hunting Party being renewed.
What’s on tonight instead?
If you’re a fan of crime dramas, there is some good news, though. While we won’t get a rerun of The Hunting Party, we will get a new episode of Found. The series is moving to tonight for one week only due to Thursday night having the Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5 premiere taking up the last timeslot.
Then from next week, it’s not clear just yet. Found will move back to Thursdays.
You can catch up on the whole of The Hunting Party season 1 on Peacock.
