So far, we know that Alice, Birdie, Brett, and Catherine were involved in the murder of Quiche in Grosse Pointe Garden Society. We have no idea who Quiche is just yet, but the show is offering a series of clues to help us figure it out.
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 7.
Right now, there is one strong contender. As of Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 7, a few more people have been ruled out. We’ve seen them in the post-gala storyline, with some of them even helping out our murderers.
All the people Quiche isn’t in Grosse Pointe Garden Society
The episodes have given us a few storylines from the post-murder plot. We know that Marilyn was out getting her cat, Mr. Fingers, to the vet at the time of the murder. That was revealed in Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 6. She called Alice for support at the vet clinic, which is where she shared that she knows Gary stole the quilt.
At that point, we thought Gary could have been Quiche. Well, episode 7 has ruled that out. At the very end of the episode, Gary showed up. In that episode, we also got the confirmation that Tucker is alive and well. In fact, he now knows about Quiche and he helped Catherine cover up the fact that she and Birdie were at the gas station selling drugs for money for gas.
Before that, Joel helped Birdie cover up the murder by taking all the items used to kill Quiche to the evidence room. Nobody is likely to look there for evidence that has technically already been logged.
That episode also confirmed that Olga is safe. She does note that Catherine has blood on her dress, and she doesn’t outright ask what the group has done. However, she’s one for keeping Birdie’s secrets, so we’re sure she’s not going to tell anyone just yet.
Brett’s ex-wife has also been spotted in the post-gala storyline. She is still fighting for full custody, and it seems that something happened between Brett’s son’s birthday party and the gala. Well, Connor organized a private investigator to see what Brett is up to, but it doesn’t seem like he has the murder in his collection of photos.

Who could Quiche be in Grosse Pointe?
It’s clear that whoever Quiche is isn’t going to be missed. Nobody has come asking about anyone, except for Doug, who is missing. This does point to the suggestion that Doug is Quiche in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, but I think that this is too obvious.
Instead of Doug, it could be his mom. Alice and his mom do not get along, and there’s a chance that buying the artwork in return for grandbabies comes to a head at the gala.
Connor and Misty are too options, but they’re not the type of people who won’t be missed. While Joel knows that Birdie killed someone, Ford would miss his mom and raise questions about where she is. Likewise, unless Connor had said he was going somewhere, Nora would miss him.
Another person that could be Quiche is Jillian, who was the head of the PTA who tried to get Catherine to resign because of her affair. Catherine didn’t do that, and instead, called out everyone else for their transgressions over the years. Jillian may have wanted revenge, leading to murder.
And there is the Bloomfield Hills gardener, who is a male version of Marilyn. Could he have learned that Birdie stole the crystal trophy, leading to him confronting her and ending up dead?
Finally, there’s the chance that it could be Marilyn’s husband. I’m not sure if he was supposed to have been seen by Marilyn through the cameras. We haven’t seen him in person, and Marilyn probably wouldn’t think too much to call it in just yet considering she’s so worried about Mr. Fingers and angry that her husband left the window open.
