What started off as some extra credit to get into a good university turned into a life-threatening investigation for Pip. What happened at the end of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder?

The first season of the series, which is adapted from the book of the same name by Holly Jackson, focused on Pip getting to the bottom of Andie Bell’s disappearance and murder. Sal Singh had been accused of it for years, but she was sure it wasn’t him. She teamed up with his brother, Ravi, to get to the bottom of it.

Pip certainly unraveled the mystery. It almost led to her being killed in the process, though.

Who killed Andie Bell in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder?

It didn’t take long for Pip to learn that while Andie was with Sal, she was seeing and dating other people. One of those was an “older man.” That took a while to figure out, but Pip realized that Andie’s English teacher, Elliot Ward, was the one Andie was seeing.

Andie threatened to tell everyone about their relationship. She wanted Elliot to give her £5,000, which Pip learned by this point was to run away from home with Sal. Elliot pushed Andie, causing her to fall and hit her head on the countertop. Before Elliot could call for help, Andie got away.

She managed to get back home, where her younger sister Becca was walking for her. Becca had found out that Andie planned to run away with Sal. That would leave Becca with their controlling father. Not realizing that Andie had already suffered a head injury, Becca pushed Anie into a wall. Andie fell and choked on her own vomit.

Where did Becca put Andie’s body?

When Pip goes to confront Becca, Becca shares that she will take Pip to where she buried Andie. What Pip doesn’t realize at the time is that Becca has drugged Pip.

Becca planned to cover everything up again by burying Pip in the same place. Fortunately, Ravi and Cara found Pip through the Find My Friends app, and they get to Pip just in time.

What happened to Sal in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder?

But Sal confessed to the murder of his girlfriend, didn’t he? Well, Pip and Ravi both realized that the text confession was faked. The writing was too well put together for Sal.

Well, it turned out that Elliot needed to get away with murder. So, he ended up drugging and suffocating Sal in the woods. With Sal dead, Elliot was able to write the false confession and that was that. Suspicion would never fall on him.

Elliot also blackmailed his daughter Naomi and her friend Max. The two had been involved in a hit-and-run on New Year’s Eve. They never faced the consequences of that because Max managed to get Dan Da Silva to cover it up for them. Max knew Dan had a fling with Andie when she was a minor and it was the perfect blackmail. Elliot knew about the hit-and-run, and he threatened to go to the police if Max and Naomi didn’t lie about how long Sal was with them the night that Andie was murdered. That took out Sal’s alibi.

Although he did think that Andie was actually still alive at one point. He had a girl, Isla, locked in a house. It turned out that Isla was a girl from the streets who looked a little like Andie, but it definitely wasn’t her. Elliot ended up arrested for his crimes.

Who killed Pip’s dog Barney?

We hate it when the dog dies, and sadly, that happened in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. As a way to get Pip to stop looking into Andie’s murder, Barney the dog was taken. Pip did what she was told to get Barney back, but it was no use. Barney was returned dead.

Becca killed Barney in retaliation for Pip announcing that she would release all the information she had about Andie’s murder. Anyone else want Pip to get her revenge for that?
